While we catch up now that life has settled, we have some great news!

🏴‍☠️Roger🏴‍☠️ (Multi Group Placing MOHBIS OHRBIS GCH LAMZ Eventyr Wealth, Fame, Power) finished the 2026 NOHS season as the #3 Bedlington Terrier and #2 Bedlington Terrier Dog! 🏆

We will see everyone in Orlando for the NOHS Finals 😉

A double dose of Govy! ❤️ Yup, that’s him! He was handstripped for the first time and handled it like an absolute pro. If you couldn’t tell he was a terrier mix before, I think we can all see it now!

Swipe for the before, back to the last time we saw him four weeks ago 🐶

Precious Favor the English Cocker Spaniel enjoyed her first housecall appointment last week! 🥰 She really rocked that pink Halloween bandana, if I do say so myself 🎃🩷

I’ve added a new Housecall section to the website’s FAQ to cover the questions we’ve gotten most frequently, and a few I’m sure some folks have wondered. I plan to also add a post with a picture of my typical set up to further clarify what this would look like in your home 😁

Shall we try this again? Paws in the Park is rescheduled to Sunday, November 1! 🐾🩵

All of the day's activities are a go, including live music, a b**r and w**e garden + food vendors, exhibitors, a pet costume contest, and adoptable animals.

The only difference ... the very important Silent Auction ends THIS Sunday, October 18 at 3:30 PM. Please bid high and often! All proceeds benefit the AWLA.

Please share this post and spread the word! Find event details, silent auction link, pet costume contest registration, and more at https://pawsintheparkva.com/.

Leading up to an even more exciting update hopefully soon, here is an announcement for now!

Starting next week, Contoured Canine is now exclusively a housecall grooming service 🥳 This means that I now come to you to groom your pups in the comfort of your own home. I have seen so many dogs respond positively to housecall grooming that I think this will be a very positive change for everyone.

I’ll be reaching out to clients with upcoming appointments to adjust anything as needed. Anyone is free to reach out with any questions they may have!

Just wanted to share a really cool side quest that Roger and I are doing!

We’re participating in a study by Virginia Tech to see if dogs can detect Pierce’s Disease, which affects grapevines 🍇🍷 Roger and I have zero scent detection background, so we are learning as we go!

I’m super proud to say he is catching on to each step very quickly 🥹 Will he be the dog to save a future bottle of delicious w**e? Only time will tell!

Pictured is our supplies for practicing at home. First, he needs to learn the general concept of alerting to scents. Wish us luck as we both learn together!
