This post is crazy to me. Eight years ago I quit my job and decided I wanted to open my business. I wanted to open a place that welcomed pets of all sizes, personalities and backgrounds. A neighborhood place where people felt like they were talking to friends and have a safe space for transparent conversations. A space where my team felt valued, safe and could be authentically themselves.

The last six years have been a wild ride. From Covid, floods, multiple HVAC issues, electrical issues, faulty construction, multiple car accidents, 3 surgeries, 30+ treatments and hospital visits, 4 severe bites, losing Norman and Toph going into heart failure, it had been a lot more than I could have ever anticipated.

But I regret none of it. The Pawsh team and Pawsh Community/Family have been the best part of these last six years. I couldn’t have made it this far without all of you. I know the next year is going to be a wild ride, but I know I can get through it with everyone’s support. I can’t wait to see what the next 6 years bring! (Hopefully less medical issues haha).

Thank you all 💙🐾

We were happy to meet Ms. Lainey today and treat her to some much needed pampering. This sweet sweet girl came to us from Animal Welfare League of Alexandria for a deep clean. She’s had so many puppies and taken care of them so well, it was time for someone to take care of her. Be sure to follow her journey on the Animal Welfare Leagues page!

First day back in the shop after Hershey Groom Expo, and what a pair to come back to! These two are some of my favorite dogs to work on (though my body would argue otherwise). They show amazing diversity in cord care, cord styles and focusing on what is healthiest and best for the pet. It takes transparent and honest collaboration between a pet parent and us to come up with the best course of action that will ultimately make the pet healthy, happy and as good looking as possible within those means. Lucky for these two, they already know they’re runway models 😂

We have wrapped up our time at Barkleigh Productions Groom Expo in Hershey! We learned a lot, furthered our education, met some amazing people and even more amazing pets. We are excited to bring back what we have learned and utilizing this new knowledge to better your pets experience as a whole. At Pawsh, we are always striving to give your pet the best experience for their health and well-being. By going to events such as this, we are able to continue honing our skills and learning new and up and coming methods to continue our goal.

As a business, we were happy to represent a very small percent of groomers who handle with behavior and reactive pets and one of even fewer businesses attending that carry a No Turn Away policy just because of a pets behavior 💙👏🏻🐾

Thanks to your support of us and letting us love your pets, we are able to do this and hope to do even more in the future!
