I can hardly believe that we are just a week and a half away from Thanksgiving. This time of year I am extra thankful for all of you and for my own family, friends and furry companions. This year I wanted to do something special to help pay it forward to an organization in our community that works their tails off to help those with tails and without homes. The Lakes Area Humane Society. I am doing a drive for things that they are in need of. Below is a list of items they are currently looking for:
Dry Dog Food (Purina or Iams Brand)
Dry Kitten Food (Purina or Iams Brand)
Litter (Clumping and non-clumping)
Cat/Kitten Collars (Break Away Style)
Bleach & Lysol Floor/Multi-purpose cleaner (Orange or fresh scent preferred)
Dog Collars, Leashes & Harnesses (any size)
Classic Kong Dog Toys (Large)
Paper Towels
Toilet Paper
Postage Stamps
Duct Tape
Trash bags (30, 13 & 5 gallon)
Post-it notes
Copy Paper (white)
These donations help to keep their cost lower thus allowing for them to increase their programs and services to help homeless animals in our community. For those who would like to donate physical items, you can either drop them off at the shelter yourself or I will be at Lincoln Elementary School from 5-5:30 pm Monday, November 24th in the parking lot on the North side of the building (white Toyota Minivan) to collect donations and will bring all donations out to the shelter on Tuesday, November 25th. Please reach out if you have any questions at all.
