Could a mosquito bite put your pet at risk? In Louisiana, that answer is yes. Mosquitoes transmit heartworm disease and one test can make all the difference. 🦟

Heartworm testing checks for early infection before the parasite causes serious damage to the heart and lungs. Early detection means simpler, safer treatment. ❤️

This test is quick and routine. We often pair it with a wellness exam so you get a fuller picture of your pet’s health. Prevention and timely testing protect dogs and cats differently, so individualized plans matter. 🩺

Keep pets on year-round heartworm prevention if recommended. Even indoor pets can be exposed. Your veterinarian will suggest the right schedule based on lifestyle and test results. 📆

If you have questions or want to add heartworm testing to your pet’s wellness visit, schedule online or call us. Protecting your pet from heartworm is one of the best gifts you can give. 💙
