🔈 General announcement/reminders 🔈
ALL CLIENTS:
1. Contact options for the business include the following:
Landline: 256-215-5586
Text line: 256-392-7297
Email: [email protected]
Online booking info: southernstarboard.com
These are monitored during business hours and are the only forms of contact for booking appointments, etc.
**I work 6-7 days a week. When I am at home with my kids, they deserve my undivided attention! The time I have with them already feels inadequate, and the years are flying by. I get one chance to be their mom. They get one childhood. I will no longer share that time with work. I also cannot remember who needs to be booked for what from my personal cellphone by the time I am back at work checking the business phone, emails, etc.
2. I really wish this didn’t have to be said..
When I tell you I am off for vacation or (more importantly) for a personal reason such as my child having surgery (yes, this happened 🤕) and you respond rudely because my motherhood or general life happenings inconvenience you- I will respectfully decline to continue providing services for you.
I am a human and I have a life too. My kids come first. My health comes first. I won’t apologize for those things.
3. The business closes at 5pm. On the dot. It is structured so that when I am working closing shift, I am able to get to my kids on time. If you cannot make it by 5pm, your dog will need to stay until the next day. I cannot continue waiting 15-20 minutes after closing and rushing to my babies!
GROOMING CLIENTS:
1. If you send a text inquiring about a grooming appointment and you are told are soonest but do not confirm that date works for you- WE DO NOT HAVE YOU SCHEDULED! Please be sure you communicate that you want the appointment.
2. If you want to stay on schedule, please ask to rebook at every grooming appointment. We can’t continue working dogs in because they are overdue. We also cannot remember who wants to be automatically rebooked. Please ask!
3. If you no show multiple times, I will have to stop scheduling you. This is our livelihood and not only do we miss out on the income from your dog’s appointment, but you also waste that appointment slot for other clients. We are booked for weeks. We cannot continue having no shows!
I have children I have to pick up (on time) and provide for.
From here on, we cannot accommodate dogs that are not scheduled, work in dogs that are past due, and continue tolerating no shows.
We love and appreciate all our clients! I am so thankful to be as busy as we are, and to be booked out so far that booking in advance is necessary.
These are just a few things that have needed addressing for quite some time.
In order to continue, I have to create boundaries and force some form of a work/life balance to be able to continue to meet the needs of not only my business.. but also my family.
Thank you for understanding and sticking by me through all of life’s changes!
Shelley
A vacation for your pets while you are away!
