Aledo Veterinary Clinic is seeking applications for a caring Veterinary Technician that is motivated to provide outstanding client education, customer service and technical knowledge. Candidates should have skills that include exam room assisting, nursing, client education, laboratory, dental care, surgery and x-ray. Must enjoy working in a team environment and have excellent communication and computer skills. Competitive pay based on experience.

We provide paid vacation of two weeks annually and three weeks of paid vacation after ten years. Health Insurance and paid personal time off, employee pet benefits, employee bonus participation, paid continuing education and licensing. This is a full time position: Monday thru Thursday 8 to 5 (one hour lunch), Friday and Saturday 8 to 12. We close the clinic the third Saturday of each month for all of our staff to have one weekend off a month.

WE ARE HIRING A PART TIME KENNEL ASSISTANT.

Great opportunity for a student considering a career as a veterinarian or veterinary technician to explore the field or any responsible individual looking for part time work.
The position is responsible for walking and caring for hospitalized and boarding pets, doing laundry, mopping floors, and overall cleaning of the clinic. The hours are three weekdays a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 4:30 to 6:30 pm and every other weekend for approximately 4 to 5 hours (cleaning and then caring for the animals in the morning and afternoon). You will work additional days and/or hours to cover the position for the other kennel assistant when they need time off (and they will also do this for the person hired). Also must be able to cover on holidays if the holiday falls on a scheduled work day. This is a year round position and works well for students in the FFA and band/choir extra-curricular activities.
The position pays $15 an hour. Must be at least 16 years of age, be responsible and have dependable transportation.
