There comes a time in every great horse’s life when they deserve to simply be a horse again.
I truly believe that every horse should retire with dignity, enjoy some peace and quiet, and spend the rest of their years relaxing after a lifetime of giving so much to others.
Our barn has been going through a lot of changes lately, and many of them have been intentional. We’ve been bringing in new lesson horses to gradually take over the roles of some of our aging friends.
Many of you have already met Oliver, who is stepping into Renegade’s shoes. His time came a little sooner than expected, and while he certainly has big shoes to fill, I know he’s up to the challenge.
Our other new lesson horse, Autumn, has settled into her new job beautifully. She is everything we hoped for—kind, gentle, patient, yet still able to challenge our riders and help them grow. She has truly become an incredible teacher.
Autumn came to help fill the role of our sweet Rosie Pony, and now that she’s fully settled into the program, it’s time for Rose to enjoy what she’s earned.
❤️ Rosie Pony will officially be retiring to spend the rest of her days simply being a horse.
While this may be bittersweet for some of our students, I hope everyone understands that every decision we make is with our horses’ best interests at heart.
Horse ownership isn’t just about riding. It’s about providing the best life possible through every stage of their journey—from the day they arrive to the day they retire.
I am incredibly grateful that we’re in a position to give our horses the retirement they deserve. Thank you, Rose, for every lesson, every smile, and every child you’ve helped along the way. You have more than earned your happily ever after. ❤️ Feel free to post any pictures you have riding her and Make sure when you come this week you give her an extra pat for a job well done! she will be moving to her retirement home later this week.
