Meet Shortcake, a professional cuddlebug looking for someone who loves snuggling as much as she does! đź’•
Shortcake is a five-year-old, eight-pound miniature dachshund with a calm personality and an adventurous little spirit. Her favorite things include soft blankets, tasty treats and being wherever her people are.
This sweet girl loves being cradled like a newborn. Rock her gently and she’ll fall asleep in your arms! At night, she wants nothing more than to curl up beside you under the blankets.
Shortcake is house-trained with a routine that allows her to go outside every few hours. She rides well in the car, enjoys leash walks and loves following her nose as she explores.
Shortcake has significant anxiety when confined and cannot be crated. Her ideal adopter will be retired or work from home so she can enjoy plenty of companionship. She requires an adult-only home and would prefer to be the only dog.
Shortcake previously had a skin infection that has completely cleared. She is missing some fur on her ears and tail, and it may not grow back—but we think that only adds to her charm.
