We are departing the Land of Enchantment en route to the Lone Star State. Mom and I spotted some rabbits during one of our walks. There were also some vintage cars & campers for us to look at here on Route 66. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

We enjoyed a spectacular ride over Fishlake, UT. We drove over some massive mountains and through some daunting tunnels. Dad mentioned that we reached an altitude of over 11,000 feet and navigated down the Ike Gauntlet. Upon arriving at our destination, I encountered the largest dogs I've ever seen, and surprisingly, they produced mooing sounds instead of barking. In any event, the Rockies are stunningly beautiful!!!

Arrived at Riverdance RV Park, Gypsum, Colorado, located by the Eagle River. The park offers level sites and a spacious dog park. Strong winds periodically caused the river to flow in two directions. Saw numerous wildlife tracks, but no wildlife was seen, unless one considers the many fish that were jumping. Off to the dog park... until next time!

Upon arriving in the Cornhusker State, we found ourselves next to a sprawling corn field, just as anticipated. The temperature is a comfortable 80 degrees, accompanied by a soothing breeze and the shade of a tree. My parents took me to the dog park, where I was able to run off some energy.

Having left the Buckeye State behind, we stopped over in Illinois for a night and are now enjoying the picturesque corn fields of Iowa. Our current location is the Iowa State Fairgrounds, which features a massive campground. Given that it is the off-season, the campground is not crowded. According to my mom, the price of $64 for full hookups for the next two nights is a good deal. Tomorrow I hope laying in this beautiful green grass and sniffing everything in reach is on the schedule. 🐾🐾
