BONITA wants to be a laundry assistant in her forever home! She doesn't even care if it's wet. Seriously, this goofy, super-sweet girl has been waiting patiently for her person. She's simply wonderful and would love to meet you on Saturday from 10-2.

Here's what happens when Churu or Delectables treats are brought out. What a beautiful day to spend time with the fur babies on the catio.

Widget came through surgery just fine and is recuperating at a volunteer's home. If you can donate toward his medical bills, we thank you!

ADOPTED! William and Hilda wanted to add a cat to their household. As renters, the process was just a little more complicated, but they were approved. They visited with lots of sweet babies, but ZEPHYR showed them what an awesomely affectionate boy he is. He turned on the charm big-time and everything is going as well at home. Looking for the same level of lovin's? Come meet Zelda. She's Zephyr's female counterpart and she's fantastic!

(GRAPHIC IMAGE!!!) CAN YOU HELP? The SCHS is facing another kitten eye surgery. A local resident was taking a walk in a park when WIDGET ran up to her. She saw the physical condition he was in and couldn’t leave him. This sweet boy is having his eye removed on 10/21; that’s his lens getting ready to come off. If you can help with a monetary donation in any amount, it will go directly toward the cost of Widget’s care. Contributions can be made at venmo.com (Stanly County Humane Society Inc.), by mailing a check, or via Paypal or credit card at stanlycountyhumanesociety.org. THANK YOU!

FOR ADOPTION! BO DIDDLEY, born 8/22/26, was found under a resident’s house all by himself. Too young for anything but KMR (kitten milk replacement), he enjoyed a couple of weeks in foster care getting acclimated to other cats and big dogs. He is such a smart boy! He’d go into his room to use his litter box or take a nap, then come zooming back out for playtime. He’s a definite lap kitty that will make a super pet. Please submit an adoption application at stanlycountyhumanesociety.org.

ADOPTED! The Meers were brought in by a couple of their children who had just adopted their own cat from the SCHS. We love referrals! After much visiting, sweet DUMBLEDORE won over this couple. They chose well; we know this baby will be a great pet for years to come. Happy life!

FOR ADOPTION! LUNA, SHY and SPARKY, born 3/28/26, showed up at a local home back in June with their mama. While the residents knew they couldn’t keep them, they also couldn’t turn their backs. They fed and cared for them until the SCHS could finally take them in. All are a little nervous right now, but gentle as can be. Sparky is actually showing volunteers the love. He’s the least phased by all this change. Come meet them!
