Summit came to Gremlin Dog Training due to reacting aggressively on lead to other dogs and to people, regardless if she was on/off lead. She was considered a bite risk, a muzzle was used to keep everyone safe during her training.

Fargo came to Gremlin Dog Training due to reacting to people and other dogs on leash. Fighting with his brother and resource guarding. He was considered a bite risk, a muzzle was used to keep everyone safe during his training.

These are two very different dogs, with only a few similarities.

- They both had intense behavioral issues.
- They both have incredibly dedicated owners.

Summit and Fargo passed their Canine Good Citizen Test this past weekend. This test requires them to be handled and pet by a stranger. Perform obedience commands in a busy environment with people and other dogs. Keep a happy go lucky attitude and a loose lead. Using only a flat collar and a 6ft leash.

On Saturday, in a busy mall, with an evaluator they had never met, they both passed with flying colors.

Congratulations to Jodi, Fargo, Kate, and Summit. I can't fully express how proud I am of you all. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. It has been an absolute privilege to watch you not only accomplish your goals but surpass them.

2025 Highlights ✨

- Gremlins graduating from their muzzles and figure 8’s to bare faces and flat collars.

- Gremlins graduating from on leash to off leash adventures.

- First kayaking/paddle boarding class was so much fun and everyone that attended was amazing.

- Getting the coolest bday gift ever, the Megalodon paddle board to fit all my dogs.

- Seminars and new connections.

- Older clients helping new clients during class.

- Surprised woofpack in NC, watched Peep’s last run, made Peep shirts, hid an alligator under Kristin’s van and spent time with Eden and the best pittie crew ever.

- Had more virtual clients! Watched them resolve their dog’s reactivity that they had been struggling with.

- Watched people with newly adopted pups reach out immediately for training, watched their growth.

- Stayed with the dogs in a cabin for a fall weekend. 🍁

Attention everyone!! The most perfect dog has arrived! Meet Mona!! 😍

Mona loves to learn! She's fun, easily biddable, social, and has a great temperament overall.

Like most young pittys, she's working on reading the room and learning how to settle. We are working on her leash reactivity, she'd like to party when she sees a dog, and is starting to learn that behavior doesn't get her what she wants 😂. She's also working on over arousal when there is something exciting going on outside (a mischievous squirrel or sneaky mailman) that she can't get too.

Out of all the issues I see on a weekly basis, l'll take the issues I listed above any day of the week. Her foster is already addressing her problem areas and seeing improvement. This girl is a fast learner and wants to please!

Mona is food and toy driven, she'll happily work for either, even in a new environment.

She's as confident in water as she is on land, she'd love someone who would take her for lake swims. I could easily see her as a dock diving dog.

If you'd like to start dabbling in dog sports, this girl is for you. She would do well in Rally, Agility, GRC, Dock Diving, and/or Barn Hunt. Mona is ready to learn and is looking for people that are just as fun as she is.

If dog sports aren't your thing, Mona would love to be your adventure partner. Hiking, camping, kayaking, snowshoeing (with a jacket of course 😉) she would be thrilled to accompany you on any and all adventures.

Mona lives with 4 other dogs and a cat. She could easily be an only dog and her ideal canine companion would be an easy going male dog around her size.

Mona currently attends training sessions and group classes with her foster, Mona will have a sufficient amount of training under her belt.
