Bioactive Tank

🌿 THREE TERRARIUMS. THREE ECOSYSTEMS. ONE BIOACTIVE APPROACH. 🦎

At Bioactive Tank, we love creating miniature ecosystems that bring the beauty and function of nature into your home, classroom, office, or animal enclosure.

Here are three recent builds showcasing just how different a bioactive terrarium can be:

🌴 5.5-Gallon Slate Rock Tropical Forest
A lush tropical setup featuring live plants, slate rock inspired background, isopods, and springtails working together to create a thriving miniature forest ecosystem.

🌵 5.5-Gallon Red Arid Succulent Garden
A completely different environment designed around an arid landscape, with live succulents, natural hardscape, and a cleanup crew of arid isopods and springtails.

🍂 8×8×8 Rimless Cube — Temperate Forest Floor
A compact forest-floor ecosystem with live plants, natural textures, isopods, and springtails. The rimless cube gives this little ecosystem a clean, modern display.

🌱 Every Bioactive Tank starts with the same goal: create a natural, functional ecosystem—not just a container with plants.

From tropical forests and arid gardens to temperate woodland floors, we can build a bioactive setup around your space, style, and animals.

Always interesting when dealing with a bioactive terrarium, and here is a great example, that I need some help with.

These small worms have appeared in a Bylas ant springtail culture, and I have no idea what they are.

I’m leaning towards either nematodes or annelids, but I’m not sure.

Looking for all and any advice on their identification!

🌿 BUILD A BETTER HABITAT. BUILD A BETTER ECOSYSTEM. 🦎

At Bioactive Tank, we believe an enclosure should be more than a tank—it should be a living ecosystem designed around the needs of your animal.

From custom bioactive enclosures to naturalistic habitats, we combine biology, horticulture, and thoughtful design to create environments that are functional, beautiful, and built to thrive. 🌱

🦎 Reptiles & amphibians
🌿 Live plants & natural substrates
🪲 Cleanup crews & microfauna
🏡 Custom bioactive habitats
🔬 Science-based enclosure design

Whether you’re creating your first bioactive setup or looking to upgrade an existing habitat, we’re here to help bring your vision to life.

Build the habitat. Grow the ecosystem. Let nature do the rest.
