Alameda Mobile Animal Care

Alameda Mobile Animal Care Alameda Mobile Animal Care provides expert animal grooming & husbandry in the comfort of the pet's home environment - home, yard or garage. Hello everyone!

Veteran-owned and operated by a Vet Tech with 20+ years experience, AMAC is the Bay Area's trusted groomer. My name is Tony Hernandez and I am here to help with all of your pet husbandry needs! I am a combat veteran of the United States Army where I served with the 1st Bn 75th Ranger Regiment out of Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, GA. We are proud to offer all veterans and senior citizens a 15% di

scount on all of our services at all times. I have a 14 year background in the pet medical field. I started to work in this field when my beautiful male Akita named Damion was diagnosed with cancer. When I took Damion in to see the veterinarian, the Dr. was impressed by the way I communicated with and handled Damion. Beginning shortly thereafter, I started to work in the veterinary field. Since then, I have worked with many different animals, from dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, birds, and rescued wildlife (my family had the privilege of nursing back to health a baby possum abandoned in our back yard, which was then taken to a wildlife rehab center). We love animals here at AMAC. I completed the two-year veterinary technician program at Carrington College this past year, which was a great academic and clinical supplement to my work experience. I came out of the program knowing that I wanted to find a way to reach people and pets outside of the hospital and clinic environment. While my services are not meant to replace the role of a veterinary doctor in your pet’s life, I aim to remove as much stress as possible from the day-to-day basic needs of your animals. From simple nail trims to administering veterinarian-prescribed treatments (e.g., pilling or subcutaneous fluid administration), I look forward to serving our community. We hope to help create stronger family and pet relationships.

I hate to make this post but, we just came from a medical grooming and it was tough to see this poor living being in this condition. This is Taz. Up until a few years ago, I used to groom Taz every 4 to 6 weeks. His owners took pretty good care of him. His dad owner passed away and his mom owner abandoned him and left him in a house with 3 strangers. Well, they called us to groom Taz. When I first got there I was disgusted and very sad for Taz and the way he was neglected. He had several open wounds that bled into his coat making huge blood matts. All of his nails were curled around in between his paws. So, if you can imagine your toe nails curling around under your feet and you were made to walk around on top of your own nails. He was in so much pain that every time we went to pick him up he would try to bite us. So we had to muzzle him and work around his wounds. He was so brave through this. We did everything we could to make him feel as comfortable as we could. After the grooming I spoke with one of the new, so called, owners. We both expressed opinions that this can never happen again. I explained to her that he needs to be seen at least every 4 weeks for a nail trim so that someone can have eyes on Taz so that his condition will never become like this again. I told her about our$15 weekend nail trims at our shop. She tipped us and we all said goodbye. I get back to the shop and looked at our business mobile phone and she called me a d***! Look at these pictures and tell me, who's the d*** here?
