🐾 Dog Found at Akron Dog Park

UPDATE: This dog is currently with the Humane Society of Summit County

Previous Post:
We are looking for the owner of a dog that was left at Akron Dog Park. If you recognize this dog or know who it belongs to, please reach out to us.

If the owner cannot be located, we are hoping to find a rescue or someone willing to take the dog in and provide a safe place for them. Unfortunately, we do not have anyone available to take the dog ourselves.

Please share to help us find the owner or someone who can help! ❤️🐾

We are looking for anyone who has experience with grant proposal writing to help us reach out for donations to have a permanent pavilion and storage shed built. Eric B has very kindly donated his time and talents for architectural drawings and now we are going to want to reach out to organizations and businesses like Lowe's, Home Depot, Menard's, and Carter Lumber for $$ or building supplies so we can get this started next Spring.

You can message us here or email us at [email protected] and let us know if you are willing to help.

We are pushing hard to have enough recycled stretchy plastic turned in this month to get double the entries with TREX so if you have grocery bags, any package wrapping that is stretchy (examples water bottle case wrap, bubble wrap, plastic Amazon shipping envelops, toilet & paper towel rolls, pallet wrap) please drop if off at the dog park in the gray trash can in the small dog side entrance. If you have a large amount to drop off, you can also drop it directly at Michelle's house at 206 Casterton Ave in Highland square. Just make sure it is bagged up securely, leave it on the front patio and leave us a message here that it has been dropped off. Any and all help with this is greatly appreciated!

🐾🐾Huge Thank You🐾🐾.
To our amazing volunteers who jumped in and cleared a safe path after a tree fell last night. Because of you, our guests can access the park again. Mike Akrawdy Alloway, Alyx w/Butters, Michelle Dukich and a few more volunteers that I apologize for not getting your names.

Update - we have cleared the entrance to the park. The city is aware of the trees down on the path further along and will be taking care of that and cleaning up what we cut up at the entrance.

Hey Dog Park friends just a note. The massive tree by the entrance to the Dog Park path came down last night and the path is kind of blocked. We’re gonna try and cut some of it up but if anybody has a big chainsaw, could they come help. Thank you.
