Akron Dog Park is a non-profit operated dog park in Akron Ohio, that allows dogs to exercise and socialize safely in a secure fenced in space. Features include: free admission, year round operation, off street parking, secure double gated entry /exit, separate small dog and large dog spaces, fenced in grass and gravel terrain for running and play space, agility obstacles and doggie play equipment,

waste disposal stations (including complimentary bags), bench seating and shaded areas, doggie drink station with fresh running water (seasonal)

Open Year Round, Dusk Until Dawn.

To our amazing volunteers who jumped in and cleared a safe path after a tree fell last night. Because of you, our guests can access the park again. Mike Akrawdy Alloway, Alyx w/Butters, Michelle Dukich and a few more volunteers that I apologize for not getting your names.

Update - we have cleared the entrance to the park. The city is aware of the trees down on the path further along and will be taking care of that and cleaning up what we cut up at the entrance.

Hey Dog Park friends just a note. The massive tree by the entrance to the Dog Park path came down last night and the path is kind of blocked. We’re gonna try and cut some of it up but if anybody has a big chainsaw, could they come help. Thank you.

We just heard from rubber city rescue about four of the five dogs that were dumped at the park a few weeks ago.

This has Laura from rubber city rescue. I just wanted to give you a quick update. I do not know the condition of the Siberian husky that went to the Summit County, humane society, but I could assume that it's healing nicely. However, the other four are still currently at our rescue. The little red puppy is doing phenomenal. Start at his puppy shots, waiting to be fixed. The greyish shepherd mix is looking for a foster home the blonde shepherd lab mix is doing exceptionally well, we are not sure when her puppies are due. But she is definitely pregnancy.The little blue healer has finally allowed folks to love on her.So he or she, which I haven't looked yet, can now start the vet process.

If anyone is interested in these dogs, please contact rubber city rescue directly. We’d love to see them find good loving homes.
