Life can be difficult, and very unfair, for domestic animals😔. The shelter offers no life for orphaned dogs and cats. Pets residing in a shelter are there through no fault of their own. After all, at some point, all dogs and cats once resided in the home of an owner. Pet ownership is a serious commitment. Dogs and cats are feeling beings with emotions and intellect. Handled casually, selfless pets become a casualty. Let’s change their fate … ADOPT, DON’T SHOP!

All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Rabies vaccine and license included. Adoption fee: $28

Country Pet Rescue is coming up at 8:40am with Pay It Forward For Pets! Let's get this dog a forever home!

We did so good last week with a nearly one year resident, so let’s try, again, for a second one year resident…

Meet Polly Pocket … named appropriately because she meets the criteria for a pocket Pittie. Polly weighs about 50 pounds and her legs are just inches long - making her one squishy, squatty gal.

Polly is described as a lovable, fun and funny girl. She is entertaining and she knows it. She’s an excellent walker but loves to cuddle, more.

This sweet girl wants to be an only dog. And we want that for her, too. After all, who wouldn’t want all the attention in the house? She’s sick of all the personalities that have been forced upon her for nearly a year. She’s looking for some quiet and one-on-one with her new person/people.

Polly was thought to be deaf but now they think she’s bluffing. This is very possible as I have a white Pittie that was thought to be deaf for the first year in our home. It turned out, she can hear after all! Though Polly may be deaf, or hard of hearing, she’s very responsive with hand gestures/language as well as facial expressions.

Polly occupies a very large window suite observing the front lobby. Every day, she watches her friends leave while she awaits… wondering, “Why not me?” 🥺 Check out her picture… it’s pretty gut-wrenching.

Let’s change Polly’s life like we did Aunt Bee’s last week! Fingers crossed for Polly. Don’t delay … give her a visit, today!
