🥰 We always love T.I.P. Championships weekend!

Created to encourage the retraining of Thoroughbreds into other disciplines after their racing careers end, T.I.P. offers incentives for competition horses, recreational horses, young riders and Thoroughbreds in a non-competitive second career (as well as a Championship horse show!)

All of our horses got a ribbon in every single class they went in! Jean did a masterful job of summing up for Dudley & George, but it’s also worth mentioning the divisions were solid (Training dressage had 16 horses and the starter combined test had 19 horses and the novice combined test had 12 horses!)

Teufer went overall reserve champion in the First Level dressage championship, with a 70.455 for 1st in the USEF test #2, and a 71.389 for 2nd in the USEF test #3.

And Maple finished 9th overall in the Starter Combined Test, finishing on her dressage score of 32.1. She also finished 5th overall in Introductory Dressage.

Well done everyone and thank you to our whole team at VEQ as well as The Stable On The Woods who helped make this all happen. Stable View as always ran an impeccable show, we are so fortunate to have them in our Aiken backyard. 👏👏👏

One might argue that every day is world animal day around here 😉

We are so fortunate to have Darrell and his Sport Innovations setup, combined with his reiki and massage therapy talents. If you would like to book Darrell for your horses here in Aiken, or further afield, reach out!

The best programs know that training doesn’t stop when the ride ends.
Recovery is part of the routine, too 🐴

What a weekend at Tryon!!

Stepping back into the show ring felt incredible, and we celebrated a win with a 75% at 4-1. But beyond the score, the best part was how much fun I had from start to finish. What a pleasure to have such a confident partner in the ring in Spencer.

It was so nice to spend the weekend with Darrell, and with just one horse to focus on, we really got to enjoy every moment. After some time away from showing a personal horse, being back out there felt exciting and familiar. Thanks to my ringside cheerleaders Sarah Dixon and Chris Talley and of course, super groom Darrell.

The judge’s remarks and positive feedback meant so much. At the end of my test, he was smiling ear to ear and said, “That one looks really fun to ride — what a canter!”

I also loved getting to support my event riders during their warmups and catch a few of their show jumping and XC rounds, since their event was happening at the same time.

Looking forward to competing more consistently, enjoying the ride, and remembering that sometimes the greatest reward is simply getting to do what you love. 🐴

Thanks to Meghan Benge Photography & Design for the video edits to show a few highlights and thank you Cavalor North America, Sport Innovations and According to "Gospel"...Equine Light Therapy for everything you do for our horses here at Vaughn Equestrian.

Cavalor Muscle Force, Muscle Motion and LactaTec are two of our favorites and go-to products for horses in training. Muscle Force helps when horses need to build muscle, either for young horses or those coming back after some time off. Muscle Motion and LactaTec help with performance and recovery, especially with the prevention and removal of lactic acid buildup. Just another reason we are thankful for the great options Cavalor North America gives our horses here at VEQ!
