We are pleased to welcome Mtntop Lady Bird Brooklyn to Figment Farm! "Brook" is a 2016 smoky black mare by Mtntop Sir Gallant Knight out of Tan War Bird - who, as several of you know, was Jimmy's dam as well. Having his half sister join us is pretty special, to say the least.

Brook made herself right at home with Zipper, Poppy, and Sue, and we can't wait to get to know her! 🩵🦄

We are head over heels for these stunning photos of Figment As You Wish by Erin Gilmore Photography ! "Buttercup" is a 2025 palomino filly by Edgefield Patriot out of Blitzen Golden Legacy. She is absolutely the princess she is named after! She is available to her perfect home...while she is discerning, you do not have to enjoy storming the castle or take on the role of the Dread Pirate Roberts to be her special person. 💛🏴

Lots of New England Morgan Horse Show memories during the last week of July! Though we had to scratch Zipper due to her breathing, I am looking forward to attending Thursday, Friday, and Saturday AM to cheer everyone on! 🥳

Happy Birthday to our little Laurel (Figment Mountain Laurel - raf, Red Rose Frosty x Blitzen Golden Legacy) - two whole months today! She is so full of personality, and such a sweet, clever girl. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for her. So many thanks to Erin Gilmore Photography for the stunning photos of Laurel.

Farrier day on the farm and baby’s first farrier visit!

Laurel was a star for her first baby trim. We’re so thankful to our incredible farrier who keeps everyone in tip top shape and take such good care of all our Morgans, from our silly fillies to our competition horses to our sweet seniors. ❤️🐴

I’m excited to share with all of you that I’m running for an At-Large director position on the American Morgan Horse Association Board of Directors!

My very first combined training event - back when it was still the USCTA - was with a Morgan. I was nine years old. My first USDF show was on a Morgan; I was eleven years old. Pull on boots, a helmet with an awkward tan harness. When I scraped some money together to buy my first horse as an adult, of course it was a Morgan. To me, Morgan Horses have always been my partners, my friends, my family…the horses that chose me, and in turn have defined much of my life. They have made me who I am in so many ways.

And absolutely nothing has changed in the decades since. The thing about Morgans is that they give you all of themselves, and I have always felt the need to give all of myself right back to them. From taking the plunge to begin a breeding program, to promoting the breed through open sport competition, horse expos, and youth outreach through Youth of the Year contests and USPC, service on the Virginia-Carolinas Morgan Horse Club Board of Directors and the AMHA Disciplines Committee, I hope to have contributed. I always feel as though there is more to do.

When the At-Large positions appeared on the ballot last fall, it seemed clear that it was the next opportunity to serve our wonderful breed, and maybe give back a fraction of what Morgans have given to me. I know together, we can continue to evolve our breed and move forward, share them with more people, and support our community…we are as versatile as our horses themselves.

I’d appreciate your support to get on the ballot, and for that I need signatures of current AMHA members. I would love to chat with you about my hopes to help our breed if I am able to join the BoD, and all things Morgan! Drop me a DM, text me, or feel free to email me!
