β Naperon DC β
Vencedor JB x Vita MOR/Zico
Naperon was chosen for the cornerstone of Casa do Noble not only for his versatile, balanced and strong conformation but for his concentration of bloodlines.
Naperons' paternal line goes up through horses such as Dardo II, Zimbro II, Nilo, Firme and all the way back to the mid 1800's with Prusiano I from the farm of Vincente Romero y Garcia. Prusiano I is the founding stallion of this male line. Firme is the most influential Andrade stallion and shaped the Classic Lusitano.
Naperons' mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) goes back to Rata, bred by João d'Assunção Coimbra, in 1917. The Coimbra family is rich in heritage and in the foundation of the Lusitano horse and its development. All bloodstock came from Viega and is still evident today in the noble look and character of their horses.
Naperons' X-factor has been carried down through his dam, Vita MOR, from Zico who inherited the same X-factor through his dam from Firme. Naperon is a carbon copy of his maternal grandsire, Zico - who is double bred Firme, concentrating the blood.
In twelve generations, some highlights that Naperon boosts:
𧬠Agareno (Veiga) 243 times with blood percentage of 27.9%
𧬠Firme (Andrade) 5 times with blood percentage of 18.8%
𧬠Nilo (Veiga) 2 times with blood percentage of 15.6%
𧬠Almansor (Veiga) 44 times with blood percentage of 10.3%
𧬠Lidador I (Veiga) 229 times with blood percentage of 15%
𧬠Clavel (Veiga) 222 times with blood percentage of 9%
𧬠Bagocha I (Veiga) 207 times with blood percentage of 13.7%
𧬠Perola (Veiga) 174 times with blood percentage of 8.1%
𧬠Turco (Berber Horse) 108 times from the year 1905
What does all this bring to the table in Naperons genetics? Bloodlines firmly rooted in the foundation of the Lusitano breed, with proven inheritability to be passed on the next generation. When bred to similar mares, these foals are the epitome of the Classic Lusitano and will make solid breeding stock you can rely on. When outcrossed to other lines, the foals possess strong hybrid vigor to create wonderful potential for competitive sports and recreation.
Naperon consistently improves the topline of mares and adds natural muscle and strength. His foals are starting to hit the competition ring and have proven to be highly trainable, agreeable and talented. We are thrilled seeing the successful updates from our Casa do Noble family and look forward to many more generations to come.
