🐾 SOMETIMES IT'S JUST A GRAND DAY. 🐾
Today was one of those days for our cats.
That's SpongeBob on the left, turned sideways at his bowl, enjoying a little picnic in our Rotunda. SpongeBob is especially dear to me because I raised him from a tiny bottle baby.
And the fellow front and center? That's Logan—SpongeBob's brother, whom I adopted myself.
SpongeBob was adopted too, and he had a wonderful home until, sadly, his person passed away. So SpongeBob came back to us.
And you know what? He's doing beautifully.
He's social with the other cats, comfortable here, and still very much the sweet SpongeBob we've always known. He was adopted again recently, but unfortunately the resident cat made it quite clear that SpongeBob had not been invited to move in. 😹 So back to us he came.
But today his adopter came back just to visit him.
And SpongeBob had a wonderful day.
There was attention. There was visiting. There was good company. And then there was this—a picnic in the Rotunda with his brother and friends.
Now, with lunch finished, everybody is beginning to filter outside for the afternoon's important business:
fly and lizard hunting. 🦎
Some days at the animal care center are hard.
And some days you look around at full bellies, old friends, sunshine, and happy cats and think...
It's a grand day. ❤️🐾
