Hi friends! 👋 Just another friendly reminder that horses (and cattle) can sleep laying down! We received a call this morning informing us that our cow was dead and the horses he lives with were eating him. 🤦

This is incorrect for a few reasons:
1) This is a horse, not a cow. (Although he does act like a cow sometimes.)
2) He was not dead, he's just a big baby and was catching up on some needed zzz's!
3) Horses are herbivores and do not eat meat. The horses were eating their hay around Hank, because Hank so very rudely turned their food into a temporary bed for himself.

Edited to add: Yes, horses have been known to occasionally steal your child's ham sandwich out of their hands and inhale small animals. (Search "horse eating chick" if you're curious...and if you don't like chicks.) But just because they can do something doesn't mean they should, they aren't designed to digest meat. The same goes for people: just because you CAN smoke crack, doesn't mean you should. (The more you know... 🌠)

Also - Hank is available for sale!

Photos in the comments to show he's alive! We hope that we can educate, and at the very least entertain everyone! Thank you all for your concern. 💜 (Also, please like our page so you can follow us for more fun posts!)
