🧡🍂 These boys are tuggin', fetchin', & smilin' their way into Fall! 🍂🧡

This post is going to focus on the 1st half of the year with some of our favorite pictures we captured over several sleepovers! 😍 That said... keep an eye out for their next post for this last half of the year - we feel spoiled! 🫠

Roger is an old fella, but sure doesn't act like one! 👴 He is always up for a game of frisbee 🥏, ball chasin' (although, it's more like "ball prancing" 😂🥎), and finding anything tug-o-war worthy! 💪 When he is ready for a rest, you can catch him shade or sun bathing ☀️, snoozin' on his favorite dog bed in our living room 💤, or standing in between our legs (backwards) for all the butt scratches! 🙃

Otis is full of life, energy, and goofball antics! 🤪 Whether he is bone chewin' 🦴, chasin' friends 🐕, zoomin' around the yard just because he can 🏁, getting in alllllll the sniffs (and I mean ALL) 😆🌳, jumping into our toy bin in the living room to "be one with the stuffies" 🧸, making sure to get that "fresh nature" smell on him by rolling around in the grass 🥴, or trying to "help" us pickup p**p in the yard 💩... he wears himself out by the time sunset hits, and snoozes the night away to recharge his psycho-meter! 🔋🤣

Their smiles, love, and wholesome personalities could warm up any chilly day, to say the least! 🥹And guess what?! They are here with us now for another slumber party!!! 🤩 Our Thursday just got better! ❤️

We love you, Roger & Otis! Now let's go snuggle up! 💛🐾

👋😍 Please help us welcome these little pumpkins to the CAIOPC pack... Moka & Scout! 😍👋

"I think I'm fallin' in love, fallin' in love with youuuuuu" was our theme song the second we laid eyes on these babies during our Meet & Greet! 🥹🎶 Fun fact - they are sisters! The only 2 in the litter! 🤯 Paired for life - just melts your heart, doesn't it?! 🫠

Dominic got to enjoy having a sleepover with the cuties, but I made sure to get my lovin's in midday while also trackin' some steps on our 45-60min walks! 💪😁 And let me tell ya - these 2 could walk for HOURS if you let them! 🌳 Moka more than Scout, but if Moka was going, Scout couldn't bear the thought of missing out on all the action and new sniffs in the neighborhood there could be to smell (and peeing on everything even when there was nothing left)! 🤣

When Scout wasn't playing circus games by nose boopin' her "ball-y's" mid-air 🥎, and Moka wasn't trying to search for wildlife in the backyard 🐰, they were cuddled up in blankets (or a lot of the times, under them 😇), enjoying some enrichment games like their "rollies" (roller puzzle game) 🤪, chewin' on their bullies 🦴, or pawing at me any time my hands were idle letting me know they could be occupied with pets & belly rubs instead! 🙃

We feel so grateful we got the opportunity to care for these snugglebugs, and also make new friends out of their moms 🥰 - truly 2 of the funniest people we have met and we are fortunate we get to chat with them, and catch up on stories, every time they need us in the future (I better get a 6 pack of abs next time from all the laughing)! 🤗🤣

🕺💫 This handsome fella is due for another feature! 💫🕺

We have so many pictures of Axel that we have to separate it into "1st half of year" and "2nd half"! 🤣 Even then, this is only a microscopic portion of how many we have taken in 2026! 🤯 He's one of the most photogenic pups that comes here, so it makes it harder for us to cherry pick which ones are our favorites that we'd want to share! 🤪

A few refreshers about this smiley boy 🙃:

🎃He is ball-obsessed, and knows EXACTLY where we keep those "prized possessions"! 🥎 When he tires of his WWE matches with friends 🤼‍♂️, and racetrack zoomies 🏎️, he trots straight over to the toy bin while staring at us with a cheesin' face, waiting to see if we will entertain the idea earlier in the day than we should! 🫣

🎃His best friend in the whole world is Nova (Dalmatian) 🥇 with Samoa & Taz both coming in 2nd place! 🥈 He is one of the very few males that has brought out the "puppy" side in our dog, and it melts our hearts to watch! 🫠 The amount of videos I have of Axel & Taz... I should just create a separate folder for them at this point! 🥹

🎃He likes to "cool off his paws" while hydrating - it is the funniest thing! 😅 He puts both feet in the water bowl, and then dunks his snout a few times like he is bobbin' for apples! 🍎 Labs are quirky dogs, that's for sure! 😂

🎃And when he feels his battery charge getting low 🪫, he reluctantly goes inside for a quick power nap making sure he is right by the patio door, because no one is allowed to sneak outside without him joining in on the fun, of course! 🐕

So much more we could say about this happy-go-lucky guy, but we will save that for our next post! We love you, Axel! 💛🐾

🐶🙃 Meet another new member who joined the CAIOPC pack... Penny! 🙃🐶

Recognize the other 2 littles on the bottom picture? 🧐That's Minnie & Winnie! They gained a new sister this year, and needless to say... we were in heaven with all the little paws surrounding us! 😍

We wanted to give Penny her own dedicated feature, but don't worry - the focus will shift to all 3 of them going forward in future posts (and we have quite a few more to make from all their sleepovers they have had this year 🥳)!

🍁This girl is an energizer bunny! 🐰 Always on full charge until nighttime hits (or when she wants to get in some sunnin' with Taz on the deck)! 😎 Whether that's zoomin' around with friends, wrestling Winnie, or being on duty as the neighborhood watch, she's got enough gas in the tank to tucker everyone out! 😅

🍁She's followed in her sister's pawprints by living her life upside down for alllllllllll the belly rubs 🤗 - all you gotta do is make eye contact and BAM, tummy up! 😂

🍁She loves to "help" us with our yard work by retrieving all the sticks (or more like chomping away at them until they become woodchips 🤣)! No matter how big or small, she will find a way to make it happen! 😂

🍁Snuggles are here favorite way to spend time inside! Funny enough, her favorite place to snooze is on a little cat bed under our living room cat tree - so if our laps are occupied, she happily trots herself over there for a hearty "cat nap" (pun intended)!

🍁And when it comes to toys? Just give her the BIGGEST one you can find, and that's what she wants! She identifies as a size "large" - no small dog here! 🤣

Our hearts are full, and laps warm, when these cutie-pies are around and we are anxiously waiting until next time! We love you, Penny (+ Minnie & Winnie)! 💛🐾

🥹🩵 There's another cutie-pie we have to introduce to the CAIOPC pack... Smokey! 🩵🥹

This little guy was such a joy to have around for each of his sleepovers, so let's skip the formalities and jump into some fun facts about him 'cause I can't wait any longer!!!! 🤩

✨Smokey is a ladies man! 😏 He didn't get just 1 girlfriend here... but TWO! 🐶🐶 Lizzie (Corgi) and him were inseparable from the moment they saw each others tails wag! 🥲 Whether it was playing, snoozin', or sunbathin', you'd see them side by side, enjoying their doggy life together! 😙 Then his 2nd sleepover is when he met girlfriend #2, Ms. Gigi (French Bulldog)! They were all about the zoomies, fetching, and wrestling, 🤪 and if Smokey saw G's eyes start to wander, he would quickly remind her that he is her one and only, and vice versa! 😅

✨His side-gig is being a ballerina! 🩰 He LOVED standing on his hind legs, and occasionally did twirls and jumps with it to really show off his skills! 🕺

✨Both times he came to our house, he got to be with his cousin, Sheldon (who we featured back in March) - those floofs are a HOOT when together! 😆Such personalities in tiny little bodies, but we are here for it! 😍

✨Smokey was a sucker for anything Chuck-It, but he also enjoyed finding toys bigger than him and carrying (or more like dragging) them all the way across the yard for us to throw again! 🙃😂 His determination is something I envy! 🤣

✨And when the day of adventures & fun was coming to an end, we could count on him to be our #1 snuggle-buddy! 🤗

Smokey is such a precious boy who brought all the love, smiles, and laughs! 🥰 We have been missing him every day since he left and hope his mom & dad go on vacation again so we can reunite with their little sweetheart, and so maybe he can get to working on a 3rd girlfriend, too! 🤣

👋🤩 Please help us welcome 2 absolute cuties to the CAIOPC pack... Daisy & Duke! 🤩👋

They say Bully breeds keep you on your toes 🫣... and I think we can confidently agree with that after spending time with these silly, energetic cuties! 🤪

Daisy is a strong, playful lady! 💪 I think, in total, I won maybe 3 rounds out of our 25+ games! 🤣 Jaws of steel, I tell ya - and yes, maybe I have a Popeye arm now! 🙃 Thankfully, she realized she was dealing with a "weakling" 🤓, so we were able to resort to lots of fetch instead (I, and my muscles, thanked her)! 🙏😅 When she wasn't trackin' steps in the yard, she was playing with a ball inside 🥎 - but, that "go, go, go" type personality still has a battery life, and when she crashed, she CRASHED - and of course, Dominic got to soak up those cuddles after all my hard work! 😴😆

Duke is full of life, and full of speed! 🏎️ This goofy boy will be completely chill 1 second, and then zoomin' circles around us the next! 😂😵‍💫 Occasionally he would entertain some WWE matches with his sister 🤼, but for the most part, he seemed to have the most fun occupying himself - which was a good thing because Daisy's goal was to have my arm fall off with fetch anyway! 🤣🤷‍♀️ When inside, he definitely had an "off" switch and went straight into snuggle mode! 🤗 If you even thought about ending the butt rubs, or body pets, he would give you that ASPCA dog commercial look like "Love me... choose me...". 🥹 We're suckers for that! 😅

To say our time with them was fun and full of laughs would be an understatement! 🥰 The psycho ones always keep your day interesting, and make you feel like a kid again - just enjoying the simple things, treating everything in life as an exciting adventure, and never seeming to have a bad day! 🥲

We are anxiously counting down the days until we get to reunite with them at the end of this month!!!! Bring on the crazy, we're ready for it! We love you both so much! 💛🐾

🪽🤍 Rex, you will never be forgotten, and will forever be in our hearts... especially Taz's. 🤍🪽

Unfortunately, this handsome boy crossed the rainbow bridge back in June. 🌈 Our hearts are still aching from such a huge loss, and we miss him deeply. 💔 This is when I wish dogs could understand English, fully - how do I communicate to Taz that he won't be able to reunite with his sunbathin' buddy, his "twin who lost his stripes", his "woooo-wooo" backup singer, and his best friend...? 🥺

Although we are sad, we want to honor the time we had with him and give this precious, smiley boy one last feature of his recent stays with us that I never got around to posting. 💛

A few of our favorite things about him will be below. 🥹

🌠We have the same exact round couch that his parents do at home, and on his first ever sleepover, his eyes lit up, and deemed that his spot, naturally - truly a "home away from home" for him! 🛋️
🌠Sleeping on the furniture the "right way" was too mainstream, so you'd catch him spinning around in circles (I kid you not) 56 times until he finally settled in his usual position... facing the back of the couch! 🤣
🌠Rex & Taz were the patrolin' hounds here 🚨 - every morning & evening, they would do their rounds to ensure all the smells were sniffed, and no "wildlife intruders" entered - and when they were "off the clock", they would both retreat to the deck for some sunshine soakin'! ☀️
🌠"Now you see his food, now you don't" was the theme for us every meal! 🪄 I don't think this dude ever tasted a single kibble - it would all be gone within 2min... even that might be too generous! 😂
🌠Dominic loved the fact that Rex was his hat model! It was Dominic's goal to get him to wear a new hat every sleepover - pictures of those are in prior posts; it's worth the scroll to find them! 😍
🌠And we were over the moon that we could have our cats upstairs anytime he came over! Since he had one at home, he knew they weren't anything to be concerned with! 🐈

All this to say... let's remember him for the goodest boy he was: full of life, bork borks, and treats too! We will love you in every lifetime, bud and we will meet again. 💛🐾
