Annapolis Pony Club

Annapolis Pony Club is the local chapter of the USPC located in Annapolis Maryland. On behalf of our entire APC family, welcome to our page!

We hope that you enjoy your time learning about us, our horses, and the wonderful Pony Club organization. You will be able to find club updates, photos, and announcements here on this page. Annapolis Pony Club split from the current St. Margarets Pony Club due to a large number of members. APC has a long history of being one of the elite local clubs on the east coast. ed through APC and are successful in their riding careers today. Our members are also active competitors and participants in:

-Area II Young Riders
-North American Junior Young Rider Championship (NAJYRC & NAYRC)
-Mounted Games Across America
-American Polocrosse Association
-Marlborough Hunt Club
We meet regularly, unmounted as well as mounted in order to prepare for Rallies as well as work towards certifications. APC is centered around positive learning and successful applications of our education. We participate in a large realm of Pony Club disciplines such as:

-Show Jumping
-Eventing
-Polocrosse
-Tetrathlon
-Dressage
-Quiz

Annapolis Pony Club was on the road again! This time they got to participate in an Open House @ Virginia Tech's Marion Dupont Scott Equine Medical Center Event. Several members and their parents got to see Live Demonstrations on Lameness Evaluation & Bandaging.

In addition, information stations were available on Dental & Sinus Health, Skin Cancer for Horses, Colic & Neonatal Care. They also learned more about therapeutic shoeing techniques at the Podiatry Center.

We are beyond grateful these events are open to the public. It was a cool event that was topped off with a wonderful treat from Moo-Thru Ice Cream. This is a beloved Virgina based ice cream parlor that believes in the "cow to cone" concept. Milk goes straight from the farm to the creamery.

Congratulations to Ariel on completing her first Show Jump Rally at Morven Park this weekend. She competed on a Scramble Team with Loudoun Hunt Pony Club. The team finished 3rd in Horse Management and 1st Overall. Go Annapolis Pony Club!

APC got a chance to visit the amazing FAFO farms and learn all about Highland Cows. The parents AND kids enjoyed the hands on interaction with these gentle & curious animals.

Annapolis Pony Club had a fabulous time at Dressage Rally Waredaca this year. It was a scramble team paired up with the awesome Ella from Iron Bridge Hounds Pony Club. The weather was very challenging in the morning with cold temps, wind, and rain. However, by the afternoon the sun came out. Caroline, Ariel, Prestley, and Ella all put in solid dressage tests with wonderful comments from the judges. Savannah was their incredible stable manager who piloted the team to FIRST place in Stable Management and SEVENTH overall out of 15 Junior Teams. Sammie coached the APC kids before their tests with her positive encouragement and smile.

We are beyond proud of how this team came together, supported each other, and had an incredible day for the memory books. Go Pony Club!
