National Dog Parent Appreciation Day: This day is dedicated to all the incredible, hard-working dog parents who look after their pups with great care and responsibility. While being a dog parent is one of the greatest joys in the world, it is also a time-consuming and detail-oriented task that is no easy feat. National Pet ID Week, taking place April 17- April 23, is an opportunity to ensure your pet is equipped with ID tags and/or microchips to maximize the chance of their safe return. Dogs and cats brought to animal shelters without ID are much less likely to be reunited with their family and as a pet owner, it is critical that you take all necessary precautions to protect your furry companion. Ask about microchipping for your pet! Is your pet already microchipped? Stop by with your pet and we can scan him/her so we are sure the microchip is in our system. This is also a good time to confirm that your contact information is up to date with your pet's microchip company.
