The first dahlia's of the season are here and it makes my heart happy!!

I've selected a mix of perennials , annuals, and flowering shrubs, vining plants, and herbs to have blooms no matter what the season.

There are so many benefits to a flowering garden. The biodiversity attracts more pollinators, helps with companion planting, adds beauty, and provides stunning blooms year round.

I wrote all about this, comment "flower" and I'll send it to you 🌸

Just 3 minutes in nature had the power to lower your stress levels. Three minutes! Such a short amount of time for such a powerful effect. Sunshine, fresh air, the presence of plants and flowers. The sounds of birds, water, wind. This has the power to change you for the better.

I'm reminding myself of this next time I'm feeling stressed.

Get outside and take a deep breath.

It's amazing what nature can do to our mood. One moment I'm grumpy walking down to the garden, next thing I know I'm putting peonies on my head and calling it art 😆

Being in nature is powerful.
Flowers have shown in research to:

Boost positive emotions
Increase feelings of happiness and joy
Reduce stress levels.

I could go on.

This is my invitation for you to get outside and find some flowers 🌺 and if you've been on the fence about peonies...plant them!

One of my favorite things about gardening is realizing nature already tells us so much.

When the peonies bloom, it’s time to plant peppers.
This is part of phenology, observing the rhythms and patterns of the natural world instead of relying only on calendars and dates.

The more time I spend gardening, the more I realize how much wisdom exists in simply paying attention.

Peppers are one of my favorite things to grow because they carry abundance far beyond one season. Fresh, frozen, canned, dehydrated, fermented, seed saved.

It’s a slower, more connected way of nourishing ourselves, our families, and the soil. 🌱

Comment "pepper" and I'll send you my in-depth write up on how to grow them.

Thinking about moms today and all who mother in so many beautiful ways. Whether you're caring for children, animals, or a community, your love matters!

Before I became a mom to a little human, I was a farm mom, and I’ve learned so much just by watching the animals around me. It’s incredible how instinctively they nurture, protect, and love their young. Most recently our donkey Honey has been an amazing momma to our baby donkey Bubbles ( image 4 )

One of the sweetest things I’ve witnessed was my little silkie chicken hatching baby ducks and raising them as if they were her own( image 12)

Love really does go beyond boundaries.

Happy Mother’s Day 🌷

It’s Nurses Week, and I’ve found myself reflecting a lot lately.

I've been a nurse for other 20 years and it has shaped the way I see health, the body, and what it truly means to care for people.

After 15 years in the ICU, I saw firsthand how many people arrive at crisis after years of depletion, stress, inflammation, burnout, and disconnection from the foundations that support health.

That experience changed me. It’s a big part of why I live the way I do now and why I believe in what we are building at . I believe deeply in prevention, healing the root cause, and creating rhythms that help people truly thrive, not just survive.

To every nurse carrying the weight of caring for others, thank you and I see you. Happy Nurses Week. ♥️
