Puppies enjoyed yesterday's sunshine! We are working on coming when called (recall), taking stairs, and today they were introduced to a nylon rolled collar with dragging leash while they followed freshly cooked chicken. They eat in different locations almost daily. Since it was warm yesterday, they ate on the sunny porch, taking stairs to get to their food. There is one black male and several yellow females available. Half of the litter of 10 is reserved. [email protected]

Sailor X Ruby females are doing great at 6 weeks old! They use the paper in their potty box consistently so we invited them to the main floor to play with visiting children. They love people, baths, neuro stimulation and of course, food! [email protected] for info

(Update 1/19/2026 - Maple is reserved for service work.) Three sweet well socialized Golden Retrievers available from health tested parents. Maple's sweet, obedient, quick to learn character will be a great addition to any family or therapy program. Shadow is the largest, she enjoys walks and sitting by the fireside. Little Sunny fits her name with her bright and sunny character. She is active and oh so sweet. Pups stay on a dog bed called 'place' for up to 2 hours, they are crate trained, housebroken, starting to do their 'business' on command, stay 'off' and sit for greetings, learning to hold a 'sit/stay' and 'down/stay' for longer periods of time and making improvements with heeling nicely. They do an automatic sit when heeling stops. DOB 7/23/25. [email protected] for more information.

RESERVED Mecky is an affectionate well trained boy ready for his forever family. He enjoys retrieving, hikes, walks, and laying on his dog bed by the fire. He would like an active family with preferably a fenced yard or underground fencing.
We also have 2 female Goldens Retrievers in training which will be ready in December.

A glimpse into one of our days. Miggy left us early this morning. He flew home in a 6 seater plane . This is from his family's email, "A quick note to let you know we are home. Miggy couldn’t have done any better on the flight, and seems to be settling in really well! Thank you again for everything!!"
Boone, Daisy, Renly and siblings worked on crate training, heeling next to the road with traffic exposure, sit/stay while handler walks 100 feet away., front, finish, down, taking a longer flight of stairs up and down inside, and stay on place. All puppies pictured are home or reserved. 2 male yellow Labradors and a light yellow English Cream Golden Retriever are available. [email protected] for more information.

Sweet Bella (Ganderwood's Carol of the Belles) on her 10th birthday, June 27, 2025. She is Brooke's mom, Nollie's grandma. She lives with her guardian, Fran, on Lake Macatawa where she enjoys boat rides, sunsets, and cuddles.

A typical day of training at Ganderwood. These pups will start going home next week. All are reserved.
1.Practicing waiting at an open door.
2. Practicing staying on place in the cool air conditioning while it's 90° outside.
3. A sweet board and train S**t Tzu provides a tempting distraction while pups stay on place.
