Our 4th Annual Cars n’ K9s shirts are here, and we absolutely love how they turned out! 😍🐾 These will be softstyle shirts, and every purchase will help us continue doing what we love most… saving animals who need someone to give them a chance. ❤️🐶

Behind every animal we take in is a story. Some have been abandoned, some have been neglected, and others have simply never known what it feels like to be loved. Every single one deserves a chance at a better life, and we couldn’t do what we do without people like YOU! 🥹❤️

We wanted to keep our shirts affordable while still raising a little extra money for the animals in our care!

Jane had her first heartworm treatment today, and we’re happy to say she’s in pretty good spirits! ❤️🐾 Our sweet girl did great, but now comes the not-so-fun part… lots of bed rest! 🥹

She’ll have to take it easy for quite a while, but it’ll all be worth it to get her healthy again. ❤️‍🩹 We’re hoping for a smooth recovery with no complications!

Keep our sweet Jane in your thoughts! She’s been through so much already, and we’re ready for brighter days ahead for her. 🥰💕

Our sweet little Tyson tested NEGATIVE for FIV, FeLV, and heartworms!! 🥹❤️🐾 We are so thankful for that good news! We are still waiting to hear back from the vet about his eyes. They continue to have that glazed, glassy look, and we’re hoping and praying that his eyes will be okay and we won’t have anything else to worry about! 🙏💕 This precious little boy has already had a rough start, and all we want is for him to grow up happy, healthy, and loved! 🐱❤️

We also want to give a HUGE thank you to the amazing donor who covered Tyson’s entire $125.88 vet bill!! 🥹❤️ You have no idea how much that kindness means to us!

We won’t lie, things have been a little disheartening lately. 😩 Between heartworm treatments, surgeries, sick babies, and vet bill after vet bill, it’s been hard to keep our heads above water. Some days we wonder how we’re going to make it all work. 💔

But then something like this happens. Someone opens their heart to an animal they’ve never even met and reminds us why we keep going. 🥹❤️

Every animal that comes into our care deserves a chance, and thanks to people like you, we’re able to keep giving them one. 🐾💕

We still have a mountain of expenses ahead of us, but today we’re choosing to celebrate Tyson’s good news and the kindness of someone who helped make his care possible! 🥰

This poor little guy was previously seen with a stray mama and her kittens, but somewhere along the way, they left him behind. He’s been completely on his own for the last two days. We don’t know where the others went or why he was abandoned, but it’s heartbreaking to think about this tiny baby trying to survive all alone. 😭💔

Unfortunately, he’s very sick. He’s going to the vet today for testing, and we’re praying it’s something treatable. We don’t know what we’re dealing with yet, and that’s the scary part. He’s just a baby who should be playing, eating, and enjoying life, not struggling to get through each day.

We’re still trying to raise enough money for Jane and Wednesday’s heartworm treatments, and we’re nowhere near where we need to be financially. Now we have another sick baby who desperately needs medical care.

We know we’ve asked for a lot of help lately, and we hate having to ask again. But we couldn’t turn our backs on him just because the funds aren’t there. He’s already been left behind once, and we weren’t going to let that happen again. 💔

If you can spare even $5 toward his vet visit, testing, and whatever treatment he may need, we would be so incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us keep saying yes to animals like him.

We just want this little boy to have the chance to grow up healthy, happy, and loved. He’s already been through more than any baby should have to endure.

Please keep him in your prayers today. We’re really hoping for good news. 😭❤️🐾

🐾❤️ Happy National Hero Day!

When you hear the word hero, you probably think of someone wearing a cape. But around Southern Paws, our heroes usually show up wearing clothes covered in animal hair. 😂

They’re the people who say yes to fostering when their house is already full. The ones who rearrange their schedules to get an animal to the vet. The ones who donate what they can, share our posts, volunteer at events, and step up when an animal needs help.

And let’s not forget the people who open their hearts and homes to animals who just need somebody to give them a chance. ❤️

Most of these people don’t want recognition. They just see an animal that needs help and do what they can.

And that’s pretty special in our book.

So today, we’re giving a little shout-out to all the everyday heroes who help make Southern Paws possible. We couldn’t do this without y’all!

🐾 Okay, Wednesday question because we KNOW there are some good answers to this one. 😂

What is something your pet has absolutely no business being afraid of… but is?

A grocery bag? A ceiling fan? The vacuum? A random box sitting in the wrong spot? 😂

We know there are some tough-looking dogs out there who would protect their family from anything… except the laundry basket. 🤣

🐾❤️ Can we talk about the animals nobody seems to notice?

You know the ones. The dogs and cats who have been with us for months. The ones whose pictures get posted over and over, but somehow they’re still waiting.

They’re not bad animals. They’re not broken. And they haven’t done anything wrong.

Some need a home without cats. Some need a little extra patience. Some aren’t the cute, tiny puppies or kittens everybody rushes to see.

But they’re still somebody’s future best friend. They just haven’t found their somebody yet.

We would LOVE to see some of our longer-term Southern Paws residents find homes before the holidays. They’ve waited long enough. ❤️

So here’s our little Tuesday request: When you see us posting the same animal again, please don’t scroll past just because you’ve seen them before. Share them again. You never know who might see that post for the very first time.

❤️ Another case of WHO adopted WHO? 😂🐾

We thought Wanda was getting adopted, but apparently, she had already picked out her human!

Wanda follows him around the house, sleeps in his bed, and makes sure she knows where her boy is at all times. 🥹❤️

We’re pretty sure Wanda thinks SHE adopted HIM, and honestly, we’re not going to argue with her. 😂

Those eyes. 🥺💔

How can you look into Kirby’s eyes and not fall in love?

We ask ourselves all the time how this sweet boy is still waiting for a home.

Kirby is one of those dogs who has nothing but love to give. He’s incredibly sweet, loves attention, and would happily spend his days right by your side. He’s a little Velcro baby who just wants someone to call his own. ❤️

He’s great with kids, dogs, and even cats.

And yet, he’s still here. Still waiting. Still watching other animals find their families while his hasn’t come along.

The saddest part? Kirby has no idea why nobody has picked him. He doesn’t know what an adoption application is or why he’s still waiting. He just knows he has a whole lot of love to give.

Look into those eyes one more time. 🥹

Somewhere out there is a family who doesn’t even realize they’re missing a Kirby-sized piece of their hearts.
