September has been such a busy and beautiful month so far here at camp! 💕

Fall weather hasn’t fully hit yet, but it’s been nice enough that we’ve gotten to sit comfortably outside on the swinging bench and get in the fresh air in the mornings and stargaze at night. We even got to visit our favorite park by the lake! 🌿

I think the campers would agree with me that this little fall preview has been nice, but we’re ready for the real thing! 🍂

Happy Shark 🦈 Week, everyone!

Back in October 2024, I did a Gotcha Day photoshoot for Cate, Alex, and their little cutie, Linley. I never had a chance to share these gems, but today felt like the perfect occasion!

Beyond the cute hats, Shark Week is a great reminder of why these apex predators matter. Sharks act as the “doctors” of the ocean, keeping marine ecosystems balanced and healthy. Because of overfishing and habitat loss, many shark species are facing severe population declines.

As the legendary Dr. Sylvia Earle always says, “No water, no life. No blue, no green.” Our oceans provide over half of the world’s oxygen, and protecting sharks is vital to protecting ourselves.

If you want to feel inspired by the magic of our oceans, I highly recommend watching her documentary Mission Blue on Netflix! 🐋💙

Dear Tony,

It’s been about a month since I first found out you journeyed on to the next part of life. How’s life across the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge treating you? I bet you’re having an amazing time to be honest, seeing some of your old furiends again and meeting all the new ones as well. They honestly gained one of the most amazing residents. You always were a happy boy and always making new furiends no matter the place, time, or situation. Tell Izzy, Kit-Kat, and the others I said hey and that I miss them!

I always meant to come visit you + your moms out in the Bay, but I haven’t had a chance yet. I wonder what kind of adventures and paths you would have taken me on - probably some very cool and photo-esque places. You always had such a good sense of adventure and cool sightings whenever we went out to a new trail. 💕 And you were always down to be my adventure buddy and model.

Thanks for being such a great camper all these years, but mostly, thanks for being such a good furiend to me. I never knew a bad day when you were around. You showed me how much love and liveliness there could be in each day. And even on the days we stayed in or days where I had things on my mind, your presence was always a quiet comfort to me. You honestly mean a lot to me Tony, I don’t know if you know that. 🥹 Thanks for coming into my life and loving me as if I was one of your own. I love you so much and I always will! 🌸💕

I’m officially back from my 1.5-year digital hiatus—for real this time. 🤍

In that time, TRIZZIE BUI celebrated our 8th birthday, some precious furiends gained their wings for their next journey in life, and I’ve been working on several projects behind the scenes.

And while some of these upcoming posts will be bittersweet farewells that are close to my heart, I am finally ready to share everything I have been working on and keeping safe in my camera roll. ✨
