Remember these wee little fluffballs? It's a big day, because today the Pemberley Poodle puppies turn ONE!!! Thankful to all our families who welcomed a puppy into their homes last summer and especially those who keep us updated with photos and videos (we LOVE those!). Sometimes the best way to move on from the loss of a beloved family pet is to welcome a new one into the family. Today, Gray Collar boy went home to a family grieving the loss of their longtime furry friend… from the photos and video the family sent of his homecoming this afternoon, it was the right choice. ❤️ And this sweet puppy will be learning Portuguese… his new family moved here from Brazil!

It’s been hot as blazes 🥵 so the puppies’ outdoor playtime has mostly been limited to the coolest times of the day. Last night’s rain cooled things off a bit this morning, which makes for longer outdoor playtime and happy puppies!

And his name shall be Max! The puppy formerly nicknamed "Spotty" is settling in great with his new family and big brother.

BTW, Max's pedigree is full of solid-color Standard Poodles, but his unique coloring is due to recessive genes for Phantom and/or Sable coloring, inherited from both his paternal grandmother's and his maternal grandfather's lines. If he is a true Phantom, his coloring will stay this way, but since it's been slowly changing since birth, it's likely he will become pure Sable. Either way, he is one of a kind!

The puppies were snuggling in for a nap when I looked up and saw this girl watching me as she was falling asleep... that look melts my heart. And they ALL give you that look... these are the sweetest puppies ever 😍
