Enrichment is about more than simply tiring a dog out. 🌿🐾

A good enrichment experience gives dogs opportunities to do the things that come naturally to them — sniff, explore, forage, problem-solve, make choices, and decompress in a new environment.

And that’s exactly what I love about our days at Horse, Hound & Hunt in Cartersville.

With 140 acres to explore, dogs can experience something completely different from their normal walk around the neighborhood. Some want to sniff every blade of grass. Some want to explore. Some are happiest wandering and taking everything in at their own pace.

The goal isn’t just to come home with a tired dog.

It’s to come home with a fulfilled one. ❤️

Every enrichment experience I create is tailored to the individual dog — their personality, breed, preferences, energy level, and needs.

✨ A NEW CHAPTER FOR WOLFE COMPANY PET SERVICES ✨

I have been keeping a pretty exciting secret, and I am SO ready to finally share it with you! 🐾❤️

Beginning September 1, Wolfe Company Pet Services is partnering with Horse, Hound, and Hunt to offer private canine enrichment experiences on 140 beautiful acres in Cartersville, GA.

This property gives me the kind of environment I’ve always wanted for canine enrichment:

🌿 1.5 miles of wooded trails
🌾 Open fields and expansive pastures
🌳 Natural spaces to explore, sniff, and investigate
🐾 Room to decompress and experience new environments
✨ Endless opportunities for individualized enrichment

Every session will be thoughtfully tailored to the dog in front of me—taking into account their breed, personality, confidence level, interests, and individual enrichment needs.

Because enrichment isn’t about simply tiring a dog out.

It’s about giving them opportunities to explore, sniff, think, problem-solve, build confidence, engage their natural behaviors, and experience the world in meaningful ways.

And this is just the beginning. 🤩

As the program develops, I’m excited to introduce even more enrichment opportunities, including agility and dock diving!

This partnership is something I’m incredibly excited about, and I can’t wait to watch it grow. My hope is to create a place where dogs can come, explore, be themselves, and leave feeling truly fulfilled.

I feed Winnie most of her breakfast on our morning walks 🐾

It’s a simple way to reinforce loose leash walking, encourage check-ins, and give her an outlet for natural foraging behaviors—all while adding meaningful mental enrichment to our routine.

By the time we get home, she’s not just exercised—she’s fulfilled.

We finish the rest of her meal with her daily joint supplement from , which is a non-negotiable for me with a giant breed. Supporting her joints now is a big part of setting her up for a strong, healthy future.

Enrichment isn’t just about having toys… it’s about rotating them 🧠✨

Novelty keeps your dog engaged, builds problem-solving skills, and prevents those “I’m bored of this” moments (yes, even with their favorites). Swapping out enrichment options—even simple ones like snuffle mats—can make a huge difference in how your dog interacts with them.

And don’t forget: these tools get gross 😅
Snuffle mats especially collect saliva, food bits, and dirt, so regular washing isn’t optional—it’s part of keeping enrichment safe and effective.
