The Legend is retiring! Congratulations to the amazing BJ Caron !!!! BJ has dedicated over 25 years to the veterinary field and has worn many hats during her long and memorable career. As a young hard working single mother, BJ earned her degree as a Veterinary Technician in 1998 and then dove right into emergency care at the Emergency Veterinary Center until 2007. During this time, Bj worked alongside Dr. Lee Garrod and developed a friendship that she will forever cherish. BJ joined an amazing private practice as office manager at The Ridge Animal Hospital with Dr. Sylvie Epper from 2007-2009. She then opened her own business called Paws to Hoofs Homecare and enjoyed providing services to the community from 2009-2013. In 2013, BJ joined us here at AVC as a Client Service Representative. She stepped back from the field briefly but thankfully returned and has been with us for 10 years total.

BJ, you have been such an integral and special part of my life and of this practice. I have always appreciated your professionalism and your no-nonsense and practical interpretation of situations. We have laughed together, cried together, you have supported me through some very difficult times, and were key in helping me to find my inner Momma Bear (not my finest moment, but oh so memorable). You have always helped me to realize the most important things in life which are to be kind, follow your heart, lead with your conscience, and to make time for the loved ones in our lives because time is precious. You have been more than an employee: you are a counselor, cheer leader, time keeper, weather updater, local news reporter, and a friend. Thank you for being you and for all that you do.

Now it’s time to enjoy your time! Woo hoo! Congratulations BJ!
