Frequently Asked Questions
IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?
Yes, for the safety of the riders and our horses our weight limit is set at 250lbs. We will ask for heights and weights prior to booking trail rides or lessons. Any customer who appears to approach the weight limit will be weighed at the stable. In addition, any customer who appears to weigh 10-20 pounds more than the weight reported will be weighed. Accurate heights and weights are imperative for safety and needed so we can best match horses to riders.
Any customer that grossly misrepresents their height and weight will be denied service and will forfeit their deposit.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR A HELMET?
All minors are required to wear a helmet. You are permitted to bring your own (bicycle helmets are okay!) or you may borrow one of ours.
Adults are not required to wear a helmet but are highly recommended.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Riders should wear long pants, a closed toe shoe, and clothing appropriate for the weather. Do not wear anything you wouldn't want to get dirty. Do not bring or wear anything of value, we are not responsible for lost or broken items. We advise all valuables, purses, phones, etc to be left in your vehicle.
ARE WE GOING TO GALLOP?
For the safety of the riders and horses our trail is ridden at a walk. Riders interested in learning to trot or canter are encourage to enroll in our lesson program.
