The first walks of autumn certainly didnโ€™t disappoint! ๐Ÿ‚

These transitional months hold so much value, and I canโ€™t believe it took me nearly 30 years to truly notice how much beauty surrounds us. So much of it can easily pass us by when weโ€™re simply rushing from one thing to the next. Autumn gives us a moment to slow down, prepare for the cooler months ahead and embrace every wonderful thing the season has to offer

Watching the sunrise with Cookie ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿ’›

This week I had one of the most wholesome walks with Cookie, I booked us a secure field so it could allow for cookie to roam free. We awoke bright eyed and bushy tailed, and had the absolute best time. A younger G would have cried at a 5am start, but since getting that little bit older (nearly 33!) I find this to be the most satisfying part of my day, before the world has awoken and the traffic busy with everyone heading off, rushing, stressing about lifeโ€™s little moments. Thereโ€™s a special kind of peace, where you feel totally alive in that very moment and so incredibly grateful.

The bond I have with cookie is something so special, I often feel like I have known her my entire life. Cookie brings a whole sense of peace and happiness to my life and Iโ€™d simply be lost without her!

A big thank you as always to her wonderful Pawrents Joanna and Ian, for giving me the opportunity to spend such special moments with cookie ๐Ÿ’›

Another new Spot On feline who joined the family last week! Say a big hello to Milo! ๐Ÿซถ

Milo is 6 years old, a British short hair, and the perfect mix of homebody/adventure kitty! ๐Ÿˆ Iโ€™ve been visiting Milo each day to provide all of his daily care, and ensure he has absolutely everything he needs.

Milo started off a little shy, and truly only really wanted cuddles on his own terms. But as the days went on, each visit he became more and more cuddly which I absolutely loved! ๐Ÿฅฐ and can you believe it, he can even do tricks! Iโ€™m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to care for Milo whilst his Pawrents enjoy a well deserved holiday! โœˆ๏ธ

There was a time when life felt like a constant countdown. I worked a 9-5 office job longing for Friday and wishing the week away. I spent Winter waiting for Summer, then felt disappointed when the darker days inevitably returned.

These days, inspired by Lydia and her Evergreen way of living I try to use the seasons to navigate my life rather than fight against them. One of the greatest life lessons Iโ€™ve ever been taught.

Through Spot On Pet Care, I spend so much of my time outdoors that I notice the smallest changes. The first signs of spring, the long golden evenings of summer, autumn leaves beneath our feet and the quiet stillness of winter. Each season reminds us that life is always changing, some encourage us to grow and begin again, while others invite us to slow down, rest and find comfort closer to home.

When life feels difficult nature has a wonderful way of reminding us that nothing lasts forever. The light returns, new life appears and another season begins.
I do not always get it right, sometimes I still find myself wishing for warmer days or wanting time to move differently. But I am learning to appreciate each season for what it brings, instead of endlessly waiting for the next one.

Perhaps the true meaning of a good life is not found in rushing towards Friday, Summer or the next exciting chapter. Perhaps it is found in noticing what is already here ๐Ÿƒ
