I got rocks for Christmas again!!!! I dont however mind and I have to thank my family for supporting my deer hunting addiction.

Kickers Like Crazy!!!

Congratulations to Heath Henandez who harvested and checked in this incredible buck during the continuation of the late archery season today on Christmas Eve. I’ve been a demolition derby car sponsor of Heath’s over the last couple of years and he has represented Anderson Taxidermy well with wins across North Central Kansas.

Late Season Archery Tag Filled / Gift Certificates

Week 7: Once again time got away on posting as I was busy caping out deer last weekend and into this week. The rifle season is now past us but this weeks post is already proof that you still have a chance to tag out these last few days of archery season

My daughter Kabreyan being busy at K-State didn’t get to hunt as much as she would’ve like to this fall but she went and got it done this week on her college holiday break. Deer are patterning hard on food sources right now so stay after it if you get a chance.

I was also asked about Gift Certificates again this year, and YES I have them available if you’re looking for a last minute Christmas idea yet.

A successful archery season!!!

A big thanks to the many of you that have already had success during the archery season and brought me your deer mounts this year.

I’m finally getting around to sharing the deer I fortunately harvested back on November 9th right during the peak of the rut. He’s definitely one of my best over the many years I’ve been at this. Lot’s of mass everywhere !!!!

Well I just literally got done caping out another deer for a shoulder mount this Thanksgiving night. This time for an excited youth hunter in Gunner Bohannan who harvested yet another great deer at just 9 years old.

I also got to see the same excitement a couple of weeks ago from 11 year old Nate Wingler from Salina who harvested not only his first deer ever, but also his first buck.

Congratulations to both youth hunters on their success!!!!, A big thanks to both hunters parents for taking the time to take them hunting!!!! They’re both obviously being taught the right way

I got to hear the stories of how and what happened on each hunt and both seemingly learned that patience paid off.

Week 4 : When the customer leaves it up to you to put a pair of deer on a pedestal for them you get creative. If you’ve got the room, pedestal bases make a great way to show off your trophy Pictured are a great pair of deer harvested last year by the same hunter in two different states

This years deer season has been a good one so far for our family and friends. My son Kieryan tagged out early with a good buck on October 28th right when the bucks were starting to move. It was definitely a challenging recovery!!!! For the first time ever I called in a professional dog to help after heavy rain moved in over night. In short, we wouldn’t have found his deer the next day without the dog finding it for us. If your ever in need of services I highly recommend Beau-Dacious Deer Tracking from Junction City.

Long time family friend and hunting partner Mario Vasquez then tagged out on a good buck on Halloween morning. It marked his 14th buck harvested since his intitial first year of coming out to hunt with us in 2005.

It’s getting good and success is happening!!!

Week 3 The rut is still on and deer are on the move all day long. Deer have been coming in daily since the beginning of the month , and I’ve had some deer checked in this week that were taken midday by hunters willing to sit all day long. Continue to spend as much time as possible in the tree stand.

This one’s just s little different but I thought I’d share it. Lots of deer have been being checked in at the shop lately but check out this little deer that paid me a visit on Halloween night at the Abilene football game.

My 2 month old granddaughter Remi was all smiles in her deer costume. She’s just one of two new granddaughters new to the family this fall. Gonna be an exciting holiday season this year.
