Maggie May never expected to end up here.
At 9 years old, she had spent every year of her life being loved by her family. Unfortunately, like so many others right now, Maggie May became another heartbreaking victim of the housing crisis. One of the hardest parts of this job is watching families make impossible choices - saying goodbye to beloved pets, who are truly family members, just so they can secure housing and keep their loved ones safe.
Maggie May’s family loved her deeply, and surrendering her was not a choice they wanted to make.
Now Maggie May is struggling to understand why her whole world changed.
She is a sweet, loving girl who adores her person and would happily spend her nights curled up beside you in bed. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a quiet home where she can finally exhale again.
Maggie May does need a home without children or other animals, where she can be the center of someone’s world. Shelter life has been especially hard on her, and despite all the love and care we try to give her, we simply cannot make a kennel feel like home.
She needs that comfort again. She needs stability. She needs someone willing to give a senior girl a soft place to land.
If you have room in your heart and home for Maggie May, please come meet her. We would love nothing more than to see this girl back where she belongs — safe, loved, and home again.
