As we welcome 2026, here are a few easy ways to keep your pets healthy, safe, and comfortable in the year ahead:

🐾 1. Schedule Annual Wellness Early
Start the year with updated exams, vaccines, and preventative care. Early wellness keeps small issues from becoming big ones.
🦴 2. Re-Stock Preventatives
Make sure you’re set for flea, tick, and heartworm protection—especially as weather patterns continue to shift.
🐱 3. Maintain a Healthy Weight
After holiday treats, pets often gain a little extra. Ask us about diet recommendations, feeding plans, or low-calorie treat ideas.
🐶 4. Prioritize Dental Health
February is National Pet Dental Health Month—perfect timing to schedule cleanings or receive dental-care tips.
🏡 5. Refresh Pet Enrichment
New puzzle toys, training goals, and daily play help reduce anxiety and boredom throughout the year.
🧼 6. Keep Winter Safety in Mind
Cold temps, ice melt, antifreeze, and dry skin issues are common this time of year. Let us know if your pet is showing any winter discomfort.
🐕‍🦺 7. Update Microchips & Tags
A fresh year is a great time to check that your contact information is current.
❤️ 8. Plan for Preventative Bloodwork
Baseline bloodwork helps us monitor health changes over time—especially for senior pets.

🎆 Wishing you and your pets a healthy, happy, and safe 2026!

🌸🐾 Fleas & Ticks Are Back – Is Your Pet Protected? 🐾🌸

These pesky parasites thrive in the springtime, putting your pet at risk for a range of health problems—from skin irritation to serious diseases like Lyme disease and heartworms.

💡 Why parasite prevention is a MUST this season:

💓 Heartworms: Spread by mosquitoes and can cause severe heart and lung damage.
We offer a variety of preventative medications to keep your pet safe and comfortable all spring long, including:

Oral and topical flea and tick preventatives (like NexGard or Bravecto)
Monthly heartworm preventatives (like Heartgard and Sentinel Spectrum)

🌲🐾 Vaccines = Protection for Outdoor Adventures! 🐾🌲

As the weather warms up, many of us are excited to hit the trails with our furry friends! Whether it’s hiking, camping, or just enjoying the great outdoors, it’s important to remember that certain illnesses can be more common in dogs during outdoor activities. That's where vaccines come in!

💉 Vaccines help protect your dog from illnesses they may be exposed to in outdoor environments, like:

🦠 Leptospirosis: A bacterial infection spread through water or soil contaminated by animal urine. Hiking near lakes or streams can put your dog at risk.
🐾 Lyme disease: Ticks can transmit Lyme disease, which can lead to joint pain and other serious issues.
🐕 Kennel Cough: Highly contagious respiratory disease, often spread in areas where dogs gather like parks, trails, or boarding facilities.
💡 Why Vaccines Matter:

They prevent diseases that are common in the wild or in public spaces.
Help ensure your dog can enjoy outdoor adventures safely without the risk of serious illness.
Protect your dog and other pets in the community from the spread of contagious diseases.
Before you and your dog embark on your next adventure, make sure their vaccinations are up to date! 🐾 Ready to schedule a check-up or vaccination appointment? Give us a call today!
