Donations are always needed and appreciated whether it is items dropped off at the rescue, supplies from our wish list that get shipped directly to the rescue, freezer burnt meat especially chicken & farm fresh eggs or monetary donations which helps us purchase special formulas from websites!
Summer time is exceptionally busy! We need donations more now than ever as wildlife will start coming in in larger numbers! Thank you all for your continued support!!

Dinner time with Fonzie! He moved outside today. He's healthy and taking bottles well so he'll do good in the fawn pen. He's tiny but a mighty little guy! We are just enjoying our one on one time before there are others! These babies sure do melt our hearts! 🦌

Eeeekkkkkk!!! They're HERE!!!! As excited as we are to see are spotted friends, we still are very persistent that if you come across a fawn that you think is orphaned please give us or another rehabber a call before removing the animal from its location! Fawns are one of the number one species that gets kidnapped due to finder thinking it's orphaned. Major of the time they are NOT! Please give us a call to discuss whether the animal needs help before intervening!! 325-333-5306!! 🦌 Donations are needed more now than ever! They are expensive to rehab!

It's that time again!! Here's your yearly reminder!! 🦌

Had a Mississippi Kite that was transferred from Sweetwater with a broken wing. He's now at the Abilene Zoo Bird Rehab. Thank you Tiffany Whitley for getting him and caring for him for the night!
We also had this injured armadillo that unfortunately was paralyzed in his back legs and was covered in maggots(which we can treat). He got humanely euthanized. Thank you Sam Golden for picking him up and bringing him to the rescue. It's so cool that we've had two armadillos come in so far this season. We wish this one had a better outcome but grateful he's no longer suffering. Part of being a wildlife rehabilitator is deciding what is best for the animal even though it may hurt our hearts. 💔
