YES, WE DO THERAPY THROUGH THE WINTER!

As the weather starts to turn colder, we’ve had lots of people asking if we continues through the winter. The answer is YES!

Our barn isn’t heated though, but being out of the wind makes a big difference! Just dress warmly, and let the horse’s body heat help keep you cozy.

Don’t let the cold weather keep you from finding peace in motion.

Two years ago today, I started my training to become a Draper Sensory Practitioner!

I never could have imagined that two years later, I’d have my own business, Riding Peace, and be making such a difference in so many people’s lives. What started as a step of faith has become something so much bigger than I ever dreamed of!

I’m so thankful for how far God has brought me and excited to see what He has in store for the future!

We’ve shared these before, but sometimes a reminder is worth sharing again.

One of the most meaningful parts of Riding Peace is getting to hear from the people who have experienced a session for themselves. These testimonials mean so much to me and remind me why I felt called to start Riding Peace in the first place.

Every person who walks through our barn doors has a different story, a different reason for coming, and a different journey. Being able to be a small part of that journey is something I’m incredibly thankful for.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted Riding Peace, shared your experience, encouraged this little business, prayed for us, or simply told someone about what we do. It truly means more than you know.

God has been so good to Riding Peace, and I’m excited to see where He takes us next!

If you’ve been wondering whether Riding Peace could be a good fit for you or someone you love, send us a message. We’d love to talk with you!

Why should you try Riding Peace?

First, let’s clear up one big misconception…

Riding Peace is NOT typical equine therapy.

Our sensory horseback therapy uses specially trained horses and a specific sensory-based approach designed to work with the brain and body connection. It’s not simply about riding a horse or spending time with an animal. The goal is to help your nervous system regulate and give your brain and body an opportunity to reset and heal.

And the amazing thing is… you don’t have to have a diagnosis to benefit from it.

Riding Peace can be beneficial for people dealing with neurological and nervous-system challenges such as:

-Anxiety
-Depression
-PTSD
-ADHD
-Autism
-Learning disabilities
-Traumatic brain injuries & concussions
-Vertigo
-Dementia
-Parkinson’s
-Impulse control & frustration tolerance
-Trust issues & low self-esteem
-And so much more

But there’s another group of people I especially want to remind you about…

The people who are simply stressed, overwhelmed, or carrying trauma.

Our bodies hold onto stress. Sometimes we know exactly why we’re stressed, and sometimes we don’t. We can carry things our minds have learned to move past while our bodies are still holding onto them.

That’s where sensory horseback therapy can be so powerful.

The rhythmic movement of the horse, the sensory input, and the connection between the horse and rider create an opportunity for your body to slow down, regulate, and process what it has been carrying.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely overwhelmed.

You don’t have to have a diagnosis.

And you don’t have to be an experienced rider.

Sometimes your body just needs a chance to slow down, let go, and find peace in motion.

That’s what Riding Peace is all about.

Finding peace in motion.

A few months ago, I had the privilege of giving Jami from Dark Horse Rescue Ranch her very first session with us! She was visiting her sister and decided to come give Riding Peace a try.

During her visit, Jami gave me so much wonderful advice and encouragement about keeping Riding Peace going strong, and, most importantly, about always relying on the Lord through it all. I’m so grateful for the wisdom and encouragement she shared with me!

Recently, Jami broke her foot and had to undergo surgery, which means she’s having to take a step back from the incredible work she has been doing.

If you have a moment, I would love for you to go give Dark Horse Rescue Ranch a follow, like and share their posts, and support the amazing work they’re doing. Jami isn’t only doing incredible work with horses, she’s also using horses to help women heal, grow, and find hope.

I know your support and encouragement would mean so much to Jami while she recovers. Please keep her in your prayers and show Dark Horse Rescue Ranch some love!

We have something NEW at Riding Peace!

We are now offering a FREE session to our existing clients who refer a new client to us!

Here’s how it works:

1. You must be a current/pre-existing Riding Peace client to participate.
2. Refer someone who has never been a Riding Peace client before.
3. Your referral must book a 10-session package with us.
4. Once their 10-session package is booked, you receive one FREE session!

So if you’ve experienced Riding Peace and have a friend, family member, or someone you think could benefit from our therapy, send them our way!

We are so grateful for every person who trusts us enough to recommend Riding Peace to someone they care about. Word of mouth means so much to our small business, and now we get to give a little something back to the clients who help us grow.

Let’s just say Maple definitely approved of her taste in treats and toys! She was one very happy girl!

One of my favorite parts of helping so many amazing clients is watching the relationship grow beyond the therapy sessions. Sometimes clients become friends, and sometimes they even start to feel like family.

One of my clients, invited me over to meet her ponies, and if you know me, you know there was absolutely no way I was going to turn down an invitation like that!

I had the best time getting to love on her ponies, but honestly, what made the day so special was getting to spend time with Erica outside of the barn and getting to know her even more.

I’m so thankful for the people Riding Peace has brought into my life. I started this journey wanting to help people find peace, but along the way, I’ve been blessed with so many wonderful people who have brought a little more joy and peace into my own life, too.
