These two little “hot dogs” are already getting into the Halloween spirit! 🎃👻🌭
They personally wanted to bring up a hot topic: heatstroke! ☀️🥵

Make sure your pets have plenty of fresh water, access to shade/AC, and avoid walks or outdoor play during the hottest.

🚨 Heatstroke can be life-threatening. Excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, confusion, or collapse are signs your pet may be overheating and needs veterinary attention immediately.

So for now… keep those hot dogs cool!

LOST CAT ALERT!

Did you know July is lost pet awareness month? Now is the time to microchip your pets! This cutie came into the clinic today because someone found him on the football field at Pinecrest High School. He is neutered, has his ear tipped, and has a mint green and white checkered collar on. He unfortunately does not have a microchip.

If you recognize this cat please give us a call at (910) 631-0225.

Sheriff Bam Bam’s Summer Survival Guide 🤠☀️

Patient Complaint:
“I stepped outside for 4 minutes and now I’d like to speak to management.”

Pet Summer Reminder:
If your pet is panting excessively, struggling to breathe, drooling heavily, or acting weak after being outside, heat exhaustion can become an emergency quickly. Heat exhaustion can happen faster than many pet owners realize—especially in brachycephalic breeds like French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, English Bulldogs, and Pugs.

The Sheriff’s official recommendation:
🤠 Stay cool.
💦 Drink water.
❄️ Respect the air conditioning.
