📦 CARDBOARD TRAYS NEEDED! 🐱

The Old Bridge Animal Shelter is in need of small and medium shallow cardboard trays like the ones pictured to use as disposable litter boxes for our kitties!

Have any you can donate? Drop them off while staff are at the shelter or leave them in the donation bin in front of our shelter gate.

Thank you for helping us care for our kitties! ❤️🐾

They’ve been waiting so long
Will you give them a loving home

💔🐾 THEY'VE WAITED LONG ENOUGH… WHO WILL GIVE GEORGIO & CALI THEIR HAPPY EVER AFTER? 🐾💔

Meet Georgio and Cali, two very special cats who have spent the LONGEST time waiting for someone to choose them at the Old Bridge Animal Shelter. They have been with us since 2024! 😿❤️

While other cats have come and gone, these two are still waiting for their chance. Waiting for a family. Waiting for a soft place to call their own. Waiting for the day they finally get to leave the shelter behind and begin the lives they deserve. 🏡🐾

They are not a bonded pair and do not need to go home together.

Georgio and Cali deserve more than a kennel or a cage. They deserve a window to watch the world go by, a cozy bed to curl up in, and someone who looks at them and says, "You're home. You're staying. You're loved." ❤️

So, we're making a BIG change in hopes of finally getting these two noticed!

❤️ THEIR ADOPTION FEES HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO JUST $50 EACH! ❤️

That's right! We're hoping that by lowering their adoption fees, someone will finally see Georgio and Cali and give them the chance they've been waiting so patiently for.

🙏 PLEASE SHARE THIS POST! You may not be able to adopt Georgio or Cali yourself, but you could be the reason their future family sees them.

Let's make this their LAST chapter at the shelter and the beginning of a beautiful new life. They have waited long enough. It's their turn to go HOME. 🏡❤️

✅🌾 STRAW = YES

🛑 BLANKETS & HAY = NO

We all associate "warm & cozy" with blankets, but please don’t use them in outdoor cat shelters. On wet or snowy days 🌧️❄️, cats enter with damp paws 🐾 or fur, and absorbent materials like blankets, towels, or fabric beds will soak up the moisture. Once wet, they stay wet — and in freezing weather 🥶 they can even freeze solid. Instead of keeping cats warm, damp bedding actually pulls body heat out, putting them at risk of hypothermia, frostbite, or worse.

The best option is STRAW 🌾✨.

Unlike blankets, straw repels moisture and provides insulation, keeping cats warm and dry all winter long.

Please spread the word about straw being for strays — and don’t forget the importance of trap/neuter/vaccinate/return (TNVR). 💉🐱
