A good morning.
It's is advisable to do mixed planting in a vanilla garden. Most especially Bananas, beans, maize , vegetables . This contributes so much to the health growing of vanilla fibers through the sharing of nutrients.Also since vanilla takes a good period of time to mature ,this keeps the farmer so busy in the garden taking care of other crops .

Farming can still be a clean job .
After doing the first harvest we normally do the covering up of the vanilla fibers that have grown so long , usually we dig up small holes around the major Vanilla fiber and insert the fiber. This usually enables them to find support on which to grow on ,this is normally referred to as Vanilla stands. This enables the Vanilla fibres to generate more vanilla leaves .

So today we did the actual agro processing of vanilla leaves. It's a process that takes about two months for us to achieve the end product. Usually after we have put together the number of fresh vanilla in (kilo grammes) ,we have to be sure of how much we are going to process to be sure on how much shall be got .

In the next post I will pass you through the procedures taken during the processing.
