These are tiny dark brown/black sap-sucking pests that cluster on young leaves, buds, flowers & pegs of groundnut plants. dfd6

*What disease/damage they cause*

1. *Direct damage*
- Suck sap → stunts plant, yellowing, curling/wilting leaves, dieback.
- Secrete sticky "honeydew" → black sooty mold grows, reduces photosynthesis.

2. *Virus diseases they spread*
- *Groundnut rosette disease* - most serious viral disease in Africa. Causes stunted bushy plants, small mottled leaflets, yellow or green rosette. Can cause 100% yield loss if infected before flowering.
