👩🏻‍⚕️ ที่ รพส.ทองหล่อ เราสามารถตรวจหาภูมิแพ้ด้วยวิธีมาตรฐานอย่าง
skin test โดยการฉีดสารทดสอบ สารก่อภูมิแพ้ไปในชั้นผิวหนังแล้วดูปฏิกริยาการแพ้ หากตำแหน่งใดแสดงอาการบวมแดง เราก็จะรู้ได้ทันทีว่ามีการแพ้สารชนิดนั้น
ใช้เวลาทดสอบประมาณ 30 นาที - 1 ชั่วโมง
เมื่อรู้ว่าแพ้สารชนิดไหนแล้ว ก็สามารถหลีกเลี่ยงหรือจัดการได้ถูกต้อง

ภาวะกระจกตาอักเสบ หรือ เนื้อตายของกระจกตาในแมว (Corneal Sequestrum)
📌เกิดจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเนื้อเยื่อกระจกตา👁️
โดยเริ่มจากการเปลี่ยนสีของกระจกตาเป็นสีเหลืองและกลายเป็นสีน้ำตาลเข้มหรือดำในระยะต่อมา อาจเกิดขึ้นที่ตาข้างเดียวหรือทั้งสองข้าง
👉 อาการที่พบได้บ่อย
• เจ็บตา หรี่ตา หรือปิดตา
• น้ำตาไหลมากผิดปกติ
• เยื่อบุตาอักเสบ (Conjunctivitis)
• เยื่อบุตาบวมน้ำ (Chemosis)
• กระจกตาเปลี่ยนสี โดยเฉพาะเป็นสีน้ำตาลเข้มหรือดำ
🙀 มักมีสาเหตุมาจากแผลหลุมกระจกตาหรือการอักเสบของกระจกตา (Keratitis)
นอกจากนี้ยังเกิดจากการติดเชื้อไวรัส FHV-1
และปัจจัยอื่นๆ ที่ทำให้เกิดการระคายเคือง เช่น
หนังตาม้วน (Entropion)
ขนตางอกผิดปกติ (Trichiasis)
การสร้างน้ำตาผิดปกติ (Tear Film Abnormality)

มีการักษาทางยาและการผ่าตัดเพื่อเลาะเอากระจกตาที่เป็นเนื้อตายออก
⚠️ โรคทางพันธุกรรมในแมวบางสายพันธุ์ เช่น Persian, Siamese, Burmese, และ Himalayan

Corneal Sequestrum in Cats
📌 Corneal sequestrum is a condition involving changes in the corneal tissue 👁️. It typically begins with yellowish discoloration of the cornea and may gradually progress to dark brown or black. It can affect either one or both eyes.
👉 Common signs include
• Eye pain, squinting, or keeping the eye closed
• Excessive tearing
• Conjunctivitis
• Chemosis (swelling of the conjunctiva)
• Corneal discoloration, particularly dark brown or black
🙀 Common causes and contributing factors
Corneal sequestrum is often associated with corneal ulcers or inflammation of the cornea (keratitis).
It may also be associated with infection with Feline Herpesvirus-1 (FHV-1), as well as other factors that cause chronic eye irritation, such as
• Entropion (inward rolling of the eyelid)
• Trichiasis (abnormally positioned eyelashes or facial hairs rubbing against the eye)
• Tear film abnormalities
💊 Treatment
Treatment may include medical therapy and, in some cases, surgery to remove the affected, necrotic corneal tissue.
⚠️ Genetic predisposition
Certain cat breeds may have a higher predisposition to corneal sequestrum, including Persian, Siamese, Burmese, and Himalayan cats.
