The elephants at Karen Elephant Serenity were recently served a huge fruit cake, which they enjoyed together peacefully on a rainy day. 🎂 🍉🍌🍍🐘

We’d like to thank our kind supporter, Natasha, for treating the elephants to this beautiful cake, and wish her mother, Eleanor, a very Happy 70th Birthday. Thank you for sharing your celebration in such a meaningful way and for spoiling the elephants with this delicious feast.

A beautiful scene framed by distant mountains unfolds at Elephant Sanctuary Laos as young Ming grabs tufts of fresh grass growing on the riverbank, while Boon Hom and the rest of her herd peacefully graze nearby. With a mouthful of grass, Ming sucks water into her trunk from the river and sprays it over her body to cool down.

Observing rescued elephants living freely in their natural forest habitat at Elephant Sanctuary Laos—where they feel safe and at peace, and can live with dignity and respect, free to simply be elephants—is an amazing experience.

A beautiful scene at Journey to Freedom as the herd enjoys a feast of fresh fruits and vegetables in their jungle habitat. While Honey, Buay and Gee Lee share their fruit platter, senior elephant Boo Jhan is served her own special treats before later joining the herd to help finish off the banquet.

A Bond That Time Could Never Break 🐘❤️

It has been just over 3 months since Kham Suk arrived at Elephant Sanctuary Laos, and watching her and her sister Boon Hom together is truly beautiful to witness.

On this day, they were bathing and swimming side by side, expressing their deep affection through gentle trunk touches and tender nudges. While Kham Suk is still slowly coming out of her shell, Boon Hom is always right by her side—gentle, patient, and caring, just as a sister should be. 🌿✨

There is something deeply moving about watching them together, seeing the comfort and reassurance that their companionship brings. Bound by a shared past, their connection runs deep—a beautiful reminder that for elephants, family sits at the very center of their lives.
