Hello to everyone. This page was created for helping dogs and cats in Khanom, but I have not posted here for a long time. I am restarting the page because now Khanom has Rob's Dogs coming for spay and neuter events here, and I think this page will be useful.
WARNING:
I regret to inform that there is a deadly dog Parvo Virus outbreak in Khanom. Parvo is very contagious and many times, fatal. Especially if the dogs don't get urgent vet care quickly. Parvo can live on surfaces, clothing and even dirt. This is why new cases keep showing up.
Parvo Symptoms: Refusing to eat, severe vomiting and/or diarrhea. If you notice any of these symptoms, please get your animal to the vet ASAP.
Prevention: Animals who are updated with their vaccines have the best chance of survival. However, Parvo can sometimes make vaccinated dogs sick too.
We have had reports from multiple people who have dogs suffering or have died already from Parvo virus in Khanom. Because of this, we must postpone the spay and neuter event that was scheduled for July 7th & 8th until Dr Preow can assess how many cases there are, how fast it is spreading, and when the spred slows down.

ดิฉันเสียใจที่ต้องแจ้งให้ทราบว่า ขณะนี้มีการระบาดของโรคพาร์โวไวรัสในสุนัขในพื้นที่ขนอม ซึ่งเป็นโรคที่ร้ายแรงและติดต่อได้ง่ายมาก และในหลายกรณีอาจเป็นอันตรายถึงชีวิต โดยเฉพาะหากสุนัขไม่ได้รับการรักษาจากสัตวแพทย์อย่างเร่งด่วน
เชื้อพาร์โวสามารถอยู่รอดได้บนพื้นผิว เสื้อผ้า และแม้แต่ในดิน จึงเป็นสาเหตุที่ยังคงพบผู้ป่วยรายใหม่อย่างต่อเนื่อง
อาการของโรคพาร์โว:
• เบื่ออาหารหรือไม่ยอมกินอาหาร
• อาเจียนรุนแรง
• ท้องเสียอย่างรุนแรง
หากพบอาการเหล่านี้ กรุณาพาสัตว์เลี้ยงไปพบสัตวแพทย์โดยเร็วที่สุด
การป้องกัน:
สัตว์ที่ได้รับวัคซีนครบถ้วนและตรงตามกำหนดจะมีโอกาสรอดชีวิตสูงที่สุด อย่างไรก็ตาม ในบางกรณีสุนัขที่ได้รับวัคซีนแล้วก็ยังสามารถป่วยจากพาร์โวได้เช่นกัน
ขณะนี้เราได้รับรายงานจากหลายท่านว่ามีสุนัขในขนอมที่กำลังป่วยหรือเสียชีวิตจากโรคพาร์โวแล้ว ด้วยเหตุนี้ เราจำเป็นต้องเลื่อนกิจกรรมทำหมันที่กำหนดไว้ในวันที่ 7–8 กรกฎาคม ออกไปก่อน จนกว่าคุณหมอเปรี้ยวจะสามารถประเมินจำนวนผู้ป่วย อัตราการแพร่ระบาด และช่วงเวลาที่การระบาดเริ่มชะลอตัวลงได้
