The most important part of anesthesia often happens before the surgery even begins.

Securing the airway in a guinea pig is one of the greatest challenges in exotic animal medicine. Using our Over-the-Scope Intubation Technique, we can visualize the airway directly, making intubation safer and more controlled.

อีกหนึ่งโปรเจคที่เราตั้งใจมากๆ ใน ธีม #10ปีแอนิมอลสเปซ Pay it Forward เพราะความรู้คือการแบ่งปัน Animalspace X University ซึ่งเป็น โปรเจคสุดท้ายของปี อยากจะชวนคุณหมอทางภาคเหนือ มาร่วมแชร์ประสบการณ์และร่วมทำบุญไปด้วยกัน ❤️

ซึ่งโปรเจคนี้นั้นเกิดขึ้นจากการที่เราอยากตอบแทนบุญคุณของทุกๆมหาวิทยาลัย ที่ช่วยประสิทประสาทวิชามาให้พวกเรา ตั้งแต่ปี 1 จนจบ ปี 6 เลยมีความคิดว่าคงจะดีถ้าเราได้ตอบแทนมหาวิทยาลัยกลับบ้าง

ในส่วนของรายได้นั้นทุกบาททุกสตางค์เรามอบให้กลับมหาวิทยาลัย ไม่มีการหักค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆทั้งสิ้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นค่าเดินทาง ค่าที่พัก และ ค่าวิทยากร เราขอ Support ให้มหาวิทยาลัย และ เงินรายได้ทั้งหมด ทางคณะจะนำไปพัฒนาตามสมควรเห็นชอบได้เลย

A Thymoma is a tumor originating from the thymus gland, located in the cranial mediastinum (the space in the chest in front of the heart). While the word ”chest surgery“ can be daunting for rabbit owners, it is often the most effective way to restore quality of life.

Key Clinical Signs:

Dyspnea: Difficulty breathing or increased respiratory effort.

Exophthalmos: Bulging of the eyes (often rhythmic with breathing).

Exercise Intolerance: Getting tired much faster than usual.

The Challenge: Rabbits have a small thoracic volume and are highly sensitive to anesthesia. Successful removal requires precise surgical technique and advanced perioperative monitoring.

Early diagnosis via radiography or CT scan is crucial. If you notice any changes in your rabbit’s breathing, consult an exotic animal specialist immediately.

🐰 Thymoma ในกระต่าย คืออะไร?

บางครั้งกระต่ายที่ดูเหมือนแค่ “หายใจแรงขึ้น” อาจมีสาเหตุจาก ก้อนเนื้องอกของต่อมไทมัส (Thymoma) ซึ่งอยู่ในช่องอกด้านหน้าหัวใจ

อาการที่เจ้าของอาจสังเกตได้ เช่น
• หายใจลำบาก หรือหายใจแรงกว่าปกติ
• ตาโปน และบางครั้งเห็นลูกตาเต้นตามจังหวะหายใจ
• เหนื่อยง่าย ไม่ค่อยอยากวิ่งหรือเล่นเหมือนเดิม

การผ่าตัดในช่องอกอาจฟังดูน่ากลัวสำหรับเจ้าของ แต่ในหลายเคส การผ่าตัดเอาก้อนออกสามารถช่วยให้กระต่ายกลับมาหายใจสบายและมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นได้

สิ่งสำคัญคือ การตรวจพบตั้งแต่ระยะต้น ด้วย X-ray หรือ CT scan และการดูแลโดย สัตวแพทย์ที่มีประสบการณ์ด้านสัตว์พิเศษ

ถ้าสังเกตว่ากระต่ายหายใจผิดปกติ อย่าชะล่าใจ รีบพามาตรวจนะครับ 🐰
