Since I am leaving Europe for a while and import requirements are demanding.
She is very strong mind and level-headed independent brave without fear and highly intelligent.
She is very easy to handle and quiet.

This is a very important period
I begin to observe their individual personalities and the selection process starts right here —finding the right match between puppy and owner. For this breed it's necessarily ‼️

‼️Catahoula is a WORKING BREED‼️
It is fascinating to watch how some of them change. It is one of the most important role for a responsible breeder
It takes a extremely amount of time but yeah..it's key
And no..the right work of a good breeder isn't just about snuggling with pups as many people think..This process is unique and if you follow the right approach you can predict a puppy's character even when they are around two weeks old.
Well..my most important role has already begun!

We have very hot and dry weather in Europe with record temperatures! I am glad that we have AC and the puppies and their mom are not overheated because the temperature inside house can rise to more than 30 degrees Celsius! Outside is around 40 ! Yesterday we were supposed to do a program with our dogs for lot of children in our place outside (to celebrate Children's Day) .. but I canceled it. Today's nosework intensive work training was also canceled..
Just don't forget! A dog does not decide for himself in such situations.. that it is hot so they will not go.. they will go and can collapse.. you are responsible for making decisions for their life 🫶

hog baying 🐗🐗
As I have said many times..The dog has to show that he can find and bay on his own.
In different countries there are different rules and different ways of hunting..But one thing is the same..The courage and independent work of the dog that shows me his working qualities and many times also uncomfortable situations or injuries when he has to deal with it on his own.
So..when I want to say about a dog that he is really good confident can work independently and do what he has to without the support of another dog or owner..then I have to let him go alone..
The job of Catahoula is to find bay and keep the hogs together in one place and then the hunter comes.
Brenna is crazy spicy and goes close but her mobility and agility is fascinating! I looove her work!!
Connor did exactly what he have to..he found did the baying on his own and keep them together. And even if he is not crazy and stay little bit back his work is excellent!
They both did an great job and I'm very proud!

Gallen is a 1 year old female with a very strong tracking instinct since she was puppy.
That's why I trained her to successfully recall especially from a trai and the reaction to the whistle is great.
It was a long process because her instinct to track a doe is extremely strong..but now I can say that we successfully managed it and she can control it..
Now we can try controlled and "targeted" tracking..I see in her a huge potential...like her gma Elza
