Lumi's Update 🐰❤️

We are relieved to share that Lumi's surgery was a success! Lumi is still hospitalised but will likely be discharged tomorrow.

Despite her multiple surgeries and mounting medical bills, we are incredibly grateful that donations have continued to come in and, most importantly, that no one has given up on her. ❤️

Once abandoned as a breeding bunny, Lumi was failed by humans. Yet your kindness has shown us that there are still so many good hearts out there.

Thank you for restoring our faith in humanity and for giving Lumi the second chance she deserves. 🐰💕

💔 URGENT FUNDRAISER: Emergency Dental Surgery for Lumi

When we last shared Lumi’s story, we truly thought the worst was behind her. We were even preparing to open her up for special-needs adoption, hopeful that she would soon find a loving forever home to live out her quiet days.

Unfortunately, rescue life has a way of throwing heartbreaks when you least expect them.

We just discovered a new, large dental abscess that has developed rapidly. Rabbit dental abscesses are notoriously aggressive, painful, and complex to treat. Given the severity and sudden onset, Lumi requires emergency surgery tomorrow to drain the abscess, debride the affected tissue, and extract any possible teeth remnants causing the infection.

With this sudden relapse and her ongoing, complex dental needs, we’ve made the difficult decision to keep Lumi as a Resident for Life under our care. She will stay right here with us where her health, pain management, and specialized nursing can be closely monitored long-term without putting that heavy medical burden on an adopter.
She deserves a safe, comfortable, and pain-free life, and we are committed to giving her exactly that for as long as she needs us.

🏥 How You Can Help

Emergency veterinary care and complex dental surgeries don't come cheap. Her upcoming surgery, post-operative hospital care, medications, and specialized follow-up treatments are estimated to cost approximately $3,000.

Lumi is a remarkably brave, gentle, and sweet girl who is finally ready to find her true forever family!

Lumi came to us in early 2025. After overcoming pregnancy and major dental surgeries, Lumi’s health has stabilized beautifully. At roughly 3 years old, she is in her prime. Bright, active, and full of life! While her foster family loves her dearly, we know she will truly blossom in a dedicated home to call her own.

Because of her unique medical journey, Lumi is a Special Needs adoption looking for an experienced and financially stable home.

Age: ~3 years old (Female)

General Health: Overall healthy, energetic, and bright outside of her dental condition!

Primary Vet: Vet Central. Due to heavy medical history, Lumi must continue to see the same veterinarian who is familiar with her case.

Ongoing Care: Requires routine dental filings/burring every 4 to 6 months under sedation. This is a guaranteed, non-negotiable lifetime medical expense.

🥣 Strict Diet & Feeding Protocol

Diet: Strictly EmerAid Sustain and Wooly pellets (free flow).

Missing Teeth: With almost no teeth remaining, Lumi cannot eat hay or fresh leafy greens.

Bonding Note: Lumi can be bonded to a companion, but her partner must share the exact same diet.

Experienced Owner: Knowledgeable about exotic rabbit care, dental disease, and monitoring for subtle signs of pain or GI stasis.

Financial Stability: Prepared for guaranteed recurring veterinary bills (sedation + burring every 4–6 months) and specialized dietary costs over her remaining lifespan (5+ years).

Forever Commitment: We are in no rush to rehome Lumi; our priority is finding a family who understands her needs and will love her unconditionally.

From tough beginning to her sweet forever home 🏠

Rescued as part of the cemetery case, sweet girl Mei has officially stepped into her brand-new life with her new name: Lindt!

The cheeky girl is absolutely loving every second of her life now and seeing a bun who came from such a rough start thriving just makes our team feels everything is worth it

On top of that, her adoption holds an extra special place to us as she was adopted by the incredible family of our beloved Cadbury (Noodles)- who has since crossed the rainbow bridge. While Cadbury will always be missed, knowing that her home and family are now showering Lindt in that same extraordinary love brings us so much comfort and joy.

Formerly known as Toodles, our lovely girl has started on a fresh new chapter with her new name: Toto!

When we first started the journey for Toto, all we hoped for was a safe, loving home. But her furever family gave her something even better: two wonderful new siblings to share her life!

Toto has settled in seamlessly and is officially living her best life. From exploring tunnels, sprawling out on cozy mats, or just chilling with her siblings (Mongmong & Baibai). Toto is happiest whenever her siblings are close.

A heartfelt thank you to Toto’s wonderful pawrents. Thank you for opening your heart and home to her, and for giving her the opportunity to find best friends. 💕💕

LEMONPUFF UPDATES 🍋

We are so relieved and happy to share a very special update with you all!

Good news first: Lemonpuff’s tumor was completely non-cancerous! It turned out to be a strange, unusual occurrence where a small lump of fat got twisted, died off, and calcified inside his body. Now that the surgery is behind us and the lump has been safely removed, there is zero long-term harm to his health.

With that scare behind him, Lemonpuff is moving right along to his next big adventure—he’s currently away at "bonding camp" meeting his potential new girlfriend, Dusty!

He’s working hard on his best gentlemanly charm, so please keep him in your thoughts and send him all your best wishes for a successful romance! 🐰💖

Lumi Post Dental Updates 🦷

Lumi was just discharged this morning! She was hospitalise 1 night due to elevated kidney values but overall she's looking much for comfortable and alert now.

She is back to foster home to recuperate and hopefully she's back to herself again soon 🙏

🐰🆘️HELP LUMI: $1.4K needed for Emergency Dental Surgery

Lumi is one of our permanent resident rescues, a little bun who is unadoptable due to the intense, lifelong dental problems she struggles with. At just two years old, she has endured more operations than most rabbits experience in a lifetime.

Monitoring Lumi's health is a constant challenge because of her incredibly high pain threshold. While prey animals naturally hide illness, Lumi is in a league of her own. As shown in the picture, even while her stomach was visibly and severely bloated from GI stasis, she was still flopping out and trying to act normal. You have to know her deeply to spot when something is wrong, and her care demands constant vigilance.

Two days ago, Lumi began showing clear signs of pain and stopped eating. When GI stasis protocols failed to get her eating on her own, we rushed her to the clinic. The vet confirmed she requires emergency dental filing, and we discovered pus returning to her old surgical site.

Financially, we are at a complete standstill. Having just raised funds to cover Lemon Puff's care, our emergency reserves are at zero.

Lumi’s estimated vet bill is $1.4K. As a resident rescue, her care falls entirely on our shoulders, and we cannot do this without our community. Every single dollar helps get Lumi out of pain.

LEMON PUFF POST SURGICAL UPDATE🙏🥳

Lemon Puff’s surgery was a complete success!
The vet successfully removed the golf-ball-sized tumor, which was found to have a strong blood supply feeding it. Leaving it in would have allowed it to grow even larger, so we are immensely relieved it is out. The vet suspects the mass may actually be an undescended testicle, and it has been sent for testing to confirm what it is.

Lemon Puff is currently hospitalized for close monitoring and recovery, with a target discharge date of September 9th.

While this is wonderful news, his total medical bills remain a huge financial burden for our rescue. If you have the means to spare even a little, please consider contributing to Lemon Puff’s medical fund to help cover his care and hospitalization.
