With effect implementation of the cat management framework, licensed cat boarders are now also required to obtain records of cat license details from clients. This is in addition to existing requirements on vaccination and parasite prevention.

We encourage our clients to upload their pet license and vaccination cards to the client portal, so your cat is ready on standby for a Kitnap vacation!

AVS waives license registration fees until 31 August, after which you may still register your cat but annual fees apply. Let’s practise greater accountability; have our cats microchipped and licensed.

One of the frequent comments from visitors about Kitnap is:

“Nice place! It feels like a home.”

And then comes the inevitable question:

“Wait… do you actually live here?” 😂

Well… no.

But we did design Kitnap to feel less like a boarding facility and more like a little home away from home.

Freedom to move.
Huge intentions on our part.

Because when your cat is staying with us, we don’t want them to feel like they’ve been dropped off somewhere and then cooped up (though we have very nice suites).

We want them to think:

“Oh. I could live here.” 🥹

And judging by how some of our guests settled in… they have taken that quite literally.

So no, we don’t live here.

But apparently the cats do.

After surgery, one of our biggest concerns was making sure Mia eats at boarding — because those meals are important in order for her to be given medication!

With a cone on, mealtimes can be rather tricky. So we jury-rigged a dish at just the right height and angle, making it easy for them to reach her food.

Cardboard roll + Blu Tack + sauce dish = 🙌🏻
