How to Full Groom a Dog — What Every Pet Owner Should Know

1. Ear cleaning
Removes wax and debris, and catches infections early. Hairy-eared breeds (Poodles, Shih Tzus) may need ear hair plucked for better airflow.

2. Nail trimming
Cut carefully to avoid the “quick” — the blood vessel inside the nail. Overgrown nails affect your dog’s gait and posture.

3. Pawpad & sanitary shave
Keeps paws from slipping on smooth floors, prevents matting between toes, and reduces bacteria and odor in the sanitary area.

4. Shower & blow dry
More than just cleaning — this is when groomers can spot skin issues like rashes, lumps, or parasites while the coat is wet.

some pups sniff, wag, and click INSTANTLY, making best friends in 5 seconds flat!

others need a few playdates, some treats, and a little patience before they warm up (totally normal, no rush!) and then there’s the ones who just need to find their pack. once they do, it’s pure chaos and joy 24/7 😂

honestly? watching these friendships form is one of our favourite parts of the day at daycare 🥹 so tell us: is your pup the instant-bestie type, or more of a slow-warmup softie? 👇👇
