Some people may leave the team, but they never really stop being part of the story. ♥️

From September 2025 to March 2026, Dr. Girisha, or Dr. G (), as many of you know her, worked alongside us as a locum veterinarian at PAVCAR. In those seven months, she became a familiar and much-loved face to so many of our clients and patients and we know that many of you have continued to ask about her since.

Well… we know where she is now. 🥹

Last week, Dr. G opened the doors to Meraki Vets, a clinic of her very own. Dr. Hannah, Gaya, Samantha and I had the privilege of attending the opening ceremony and it was incredibly special to see someone who was once part of our little PAVCAR family begin such an exciting new chapter of her own.

To Dr. G and the entire team at Meraki Vets, congratulations. 🥂🐾

Building a veterinary clinic takes courage, sacrifice and an enormous amount of heart. We know the road that lies behind those newly opened doors and we wish you every success as you build something you can truly call your own.

And to our clients who have been wondering where Dr. G went after her time with us, you can now find her at Meraki Vets (). We know some of you will be very happy to hear that. 💚

Veterinary medicine in Singapore is a small world. Clinics may technically be competitors, but the animals we care for don’t know which logo is on the door. We share the same profession, the same difficult days, the same responsibility to our patients and ultimately, the same purpose.

There is room in this profession to celebrate one another. 👏🏽

There is room to refer to one another, learn from one another, support one another and genuinely want to see one another succeed.

Perhaps that isn’t always how our industry has traditionally operated.

But maybe it can be.

Here’s to good medicine, good people and a veterinary community with a little more collegiality and a little less competition. 🐾

EXCELLENCE DESERVES TO BE CELEBRATED.

We are immensely proud to congratulate Dr. Celine on successfully passing her Membership examinations in Small Animal Medicine with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS).

She can now proudly add MANZCVS (Small Animal Medicine) to her credentials, an achievement that represents an enormous commitment to advanced learning, discipline and the pursuit of a higher standard of veterinary medicine.

And that deserves recognition.

At Chiron Veterinary Referrals, we have always believed that clinical excellence is not defined simply by what we already know.

It is defined by our desire to keep learning, keep questioning and keep getting better.

Medicine never stands still. Neither should we.

We want to build a team where continued professional development is part of our culture, where knowledge is shared freely, where our clinicians challenge themselves and one another and where the pursuit of excellence ultimately translates into better care for every patient that comes through our doors.

Dr. Celine’s achievement is a wonderful reflection of that philosophy.

Behind those new letters are countless hours of study, sacrifice and perseverance, undertaken while continuing the demanding work of caring for her patients every day.

Today, we lower one flag and prepare to raise another.

For the past few months, we’ve been keeping a secret.

Today, we’re finally ready to share it with you.

After much thought, Pets Avenue Veterinary Clinic and Referrals is becoming Chiron Veterinary Referrals.

Many of you may be wondering why.

In 2024, the Pets Avenue Group was acquired by Mars. As the Pets Avenue branding became part of the new ownership, we knew that if we were to continue independently, a new identity would eventually become necessary.

So rather than simply choosing a new name, we chose to build one that truly represents who we are and what we aspire to be.

Why Chiron?

In Greek mythology, Chiron was a healer, a teacher and a mentor.

Those ideals perfectly reflect the kind of practice we strive to be every single day.

While our name is changing, everything that truly matters remains the same.

• The same vets.
• The same nurses.
• The same receptionists.
• The same commitment to your pets.
• The same passion for teaching and mentoring.
• The same values that have guided us from day one.

Your pet’s medical records, memberships, appointments and the team caring for you remain exactly the same.

The only thing that’s changing is the name on our sign.

Veterinary medicine never stands still. Neither do we.

Every month, our team comes together for Journal Club, where we critically review and discuss the latest veterinary research to make sure the care we provide is guided by current evidence, not just habit.

This month, Dr. Yi Lin led her very first Journal Club, presenting an in-depth review of a recent JAVMA paper investigating whether Lorazepam can reduce the recurrence of urethral obstruction in male cats. It sparked thoughtful discussion, challenged assumptions and reminded us that the best medicine often begins with asking better questions.

What made this evening even more special was seeing our veterinary students and volunteers sitting alongside our vets and nurses, all learning together. Curiosity is contagious and we’re proud to foster a culture where everyone is encouraged to question, learn and grow.

Because every paper we read, every discussion we have and every lesson we take away ultimately has one goal:

Better care for every patient that walks through our doors. 🤍
